  1. another vote for B In the 1980’s the rate of increase of the minority population of the United States was nearly twice as fast as the 1970’s. (A) twice as fast as (B) twice as fast as it was in © twice what it was in (D) two times faster than that of (E) two times greater than
  2. damn this is a confusing one .makes me a little dizzy picked E at first, but changed my view A perhaps? As the siren on the passing police, the passenger on the car (observer) would hear a higher pitch of the siren sound. As train A passes and press the horn, the passenger on the train B (observer) would hear a higher pitch of the horn sound.
  3. D agree with the above explanation
  4. IMO D In E...also "reason" and "because" are reductant..i remember reading sth about it long time ago when i was taking the toefl test....
  5. yeah niki pls explain further i am still confused why 77 = 7.11??
  6. one more vote for A pls post the OA
  7. IMO E conclusion: any workers who participate in a Quality Circles program will, as a result, become less satisfied with their jobs. workers might be dissatisfied at work because of other reaons, not only because of Quality circles program. Workers became less satisfied and the Quality circles are just coincidence.
  8. IMO E if the usage of computer time included the compuater usage time at work, then the television time would not be affected.
  9. IMO D "an increase" would clarify the 25%, so left C and D in C, it is no clear reference (to me)..
  10. If n is an integer n = ( 2 * 3* 5* 7 * 11* 13) / 77k and then which of the following could be the value of k? (A) 22 (B) 26 © 35 (D) 54 (E) 60 OA is B
  11. the math in the test were getting harder..i got a bunch of properties of integers questions...and i got 1 permutation/combination question..and a few gemeotry co-ordinate questions..i was not very confident with some integer questions, and i probably screwed a few of them up... the verbal...i dunno what went wrong...i must have screwed up something...coz my verbal is always stronger than Math.... i need to learn from mistakes...and i will take the test again in 2 months...
  12. thanks for all your advice i just gave my test today..and i did VERY VERY BAD, completely out of expectation since my prep test has been around 600 to 730. i dunno what went wrong. my verbal is only 20, my math is 37 (my entire score is 490). I dunno what i am gonna do, i am quite lost now. I guess i need to figure what went wrong first. i dunno, just feel a discouraged. I guess there is no debrief from me...since i did so bad...i dunno.. just wanna cry
  13. IMO C at first i picked B, i didnt notice it was "even although" In spite of / despite + Noun , so A & D are out what is the OA? very very curious...
  14. HEY pandeyrav could you explain why you picked B for question 1?? thanks
  15. IMO E, B (What is the OA?) Q1 (A) attrition with increased pension benefits and a special early-retirement program for speeding it up. (B) attrition and provides increased pension benefits and a special early-retirement program to speed the attrition process © attrition, which will be speeded up by providing increased pension benefits and a special early-retirement program (DISTORT MEANING) (D) attrition, which, by their providing increased pension benefits and a special early-retirement program, will speed the process (E) attrition, which provides increased pension benefits and a special early-retirement program for speeding the attrition process. Q2 (A) Similar to rising interest rates, consumer and producer prices have been rising. (B) Consumer and producer prices have been rising, as have interest rates. © As interest rates are rising, so have consumer and producer prices. (D) Consumer and producer prices have been rising, like interest rates do. (E) Consumer and producer prices, as interest rates, have been rising.
