Hello, all I live in Los angeles area. I was told that they would finish reviewing the FPGEC in 3 weeks. My questions are 1. Can I start searching for internship after I ge the certificate. Will the sponsors consider to hire me before I get the intern License? 2. Can I start to do intern in california without the license? Will the hours be counted? 3. How long does it take for California Board to approve my intern license? Anyone has experience,please help to answer the questions. Thanks a lot. Have a nice weekend.

I am a foreign graduate too. I have the same concern. I phoned the CA board today, I was told I have to have experience in both kinds of pharmacy, no hour number is required for the in patient experience though. By the way, how did you find the internship. Thanks a lot.

I took TSE on Jan 17, got 55. The 4th attempt. Tips: getting good rest before the test, relax and be confident. Choose simple answers and speak fluently. I did not use any big words.

Dear chang Did you apply your license in California? When was that. Did you sign the Affidivate. I wonder how other people solve the problem. I emailed the CA board, they said I have to do intern in hospital, but there is no minimum hour requirement. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks

Dear Chang I just got an email from CA board. They said they do not waive the requirement of doing intern in institution. And institution means hospital. But they do not say how long do we have to do intern in hospital. I am very confused. How do people solve this issue. If I get license in other state and transfer it to CA after one year, they wouldn't require the hospital intern any more?

Maybe they changed rule since then? By the way, had you already got your intern license when you went to interview for the intern position? Or you just had FPGEC without intern license? Hello I read California bulletin, it says you have to do intern in both community and institutional pharmacy. How did you clear this problem. How to find a chance to do intern in institutions? Thanks a lot. Or did you transfer some hours from foreign country?

I did not go to the school in US. So how can I get internship in the institutional pharmacy setting? Is there any way to waive this requirment? If I get license in another state and transfer the license to california after a year, do I still need to submit the intern hours in both community and institutional pharmacy? Hello Is it easy to find intership in California?? A friend of mine suggested me to get license for the pharmacy technician first. I do not have idea if this is necessary. I do not know if it is easy to find a technician position and if this will help to find a intership in the near future. Is it easy to find intership in any other state? Thanks a lot. -

Hello It takes time to find a intership. So I wonder if I can use this time to prepare for NAPLEX. So I wonder if it is possible to write NAPLEX before I do intership? Is there any state allows the applicants to take NAPLEX before doing intership? Thanks a lot.
