  1. Thanks a lot. I didnt read the question correctly. I have the test today. Wish me luck. :)
  2. Thanks swiss_boy. I understand what you are saying. The answer should be A.
  3. For (1), does 10d mean 10*d?? If it is so, (1) is also sufficient. So the answer is D.
  4. If zt (1) z (2) t OA is How do I go about this problem?
  5. Please let me know where I go wrong with this reasoning: 102 + 104 + ... + 150 + 152 + 154 + ... + 200 = (100 + 2) + (100 + 4) + ... + (100 + 50) + (150 + 2) + (150 + 4) + ... + (150 + 50) = (100 * 25 ) + (2 + 4 + ... + 50) + (150 * 25) + (2 + 4 + ...+ 50) = 2500 + 2550 + 3750 + 2550 = 11350 I dunno where I am going wrong. If I use the sum of arithmetic series, I get the correct answer easily. SUM = n/2 (2a + (n-1) * d) =50 / 2 (2 * 102 + (50 -1) * 2) =7550
  6. The sum of first 50 positive even integers is 2,550 What is the sum of the even integers from 102 to 200, inclusive? A. 5,100 B. 7,550 C. 10,100 D. 15,500 E. 20,100 OA is
  7. Store S sold a total of 90 copies of a certain book during the seven days of last week, and it sold different numbers of copies on any two of the days. If for the seven days Store S sold the greatest number of copies on Saturday and the second greatest number of copies on Friday, did Store S sell more than 11 copies on Friday? (1) Last week Store S sold 8 copies of the book on Thursday. (2) Last week Store S sold 38 copies of the book on Saturday. OA is
  8. The function f is defined for all positive integers n by the following rule:f(n) is the number of positive integers each of which is less than n and has no positive factor in common with n ohter than 1. If p is any prime number then f(p) = A. p-1 B. p-2 C. (p+1)/2 D. (p-1)/2 E. 2 OA is Can anyone please explain the function? Thanks
  9. Sorry, I got it. The train might have left Station S at anytime, so might not reach station T at 8:10 even if the journey duration is 1 hour 2 mins.
  10. Why isn't A sufficient? The train arrive at station T after 1 hour 2 mins which is the exact duration of the journey. Please reply.
  11. can you please explain why for statement 1, number of factors is (4+1) * (3+1). i dont wuite understand why we add + 1.
  12. (1) just provides information about the tenths digit. So it is insufficient. (2) : if u just take an example, say d = 10.07. if you divide by 10, you will get 7 in the thousandths digit. Thus, hundredths digit is 7 which is greater than 5. Thus, Answer is B
