  6. Tell me about the value of a Phd in Europe. I'm a graduate student in Toulouse (Master of Research) and i would like apply for a Phd program this year (in Us and Europe). My goal is to work in my country (italy) after my Phd. i'm intersted in Corporate Governance, Banking, Financial Markets. i need some advice about the school in which i could apply.

  8. Yes, you have a really bad score on GRE-Q. It's a "red signal". You could apply for a master in UPF, TSE, PSE or a PHD in Madrid, STockholm... With your score on Gre-Q you can't apply for a top 50 Phd.
  9. I' am Master's student in Economics and Finance. The courses in FInance (Math for Finance and Optimization, Financial Econometrics...) are more mathematically-inclined. Antonio but do you know this master? The director of my master is Jean Charles Rochet (Phd in Math)!
  10. Phd in Finance and Phd in Economics: please compare My current research interests are in the areas of corporate finance, financial economics and contract theory.
  11. Yes, Toulouse is the best place in Europe to study Economics (it's also very difficult). My master is "Financial Markets and intermediares", i have a lot of exams in common with Eco-Math and Econometrics. Yes i'm going to aplly in a Us Phd In december. I don't know if a master in Toulouse could be a good reference before finishing all exams (11+Master thesis)! What do you think about this last observation? From my point of view you must speak with your professors! Good Luck
  12. Hi Antonio, Maybe Luarea Specialistica is equivalent to a US Master of Arts. From my point of view, Laurea specialistica=Laurea Specialistica :-) Your cv is strong! Now i'm in Tolouse for a master of research in Economics. I'm interested in a (U.S.) Phd in Economics.
  13. I hold a B.A. (24 exams) and a M.A. (23 exams) in Economics at the same university. My performance during the M.A. is considered most important for a selection process?
  14. There are 4 Masters of Research!
