  4. Hi Visnaga, What I did was send them 2 copies of everything. With regard to notarization, whichever you like, colored or not. It's fine. And lastly, the notary public will sign and stamp your documents. They know already on what to do with it. They have to write his/her name in English by the way. Hope I was able to help. God Bless!
  5. Hi Rubygq, You can ask ETS to send your certificate to NABP. Afterwards NABP will send you your certificate. With that you can apply for internship program that would help you for NAPLEX. Thanks and Good Luck!

  7. Hi Pharmacist771, What I know is like this: When you pass the FPGEE, you can now apply to any pharmacy that would like to sponsor you and give you working visa. When you already have a working visa, you are legal to work. Once you have a working visa, they will give you your SSN already. Your employer will be the one to process this. SSN is given to you to have full benefits while working in the company. This one I know of ... Hope I was able to help. Thanks and God Bless!
  8. Hi, I just wanted to share something in line with this topic. My cousin applied in an agency where she was given a sponsor to go to Canada. The agenct took care of the processing of her papers and visa. She took IELTS as it was their requirement and not TOEFL. She passed the exams and now she's been there for 2 years. It is a five-year contract with her employer. 1 to 2 years to go to a university sponsored by the employer to study before taking licensure examinations. It is true that it is a long process and she had to go through a lot of examinations, paper-based as well as oral exams. Last examination she took was like case study. It consists of 20 cases, you need to talk with patients, the patients will tell you what there illneses and what medications are they taking. You have to counsel the patients on their medications. I think it was really hard but good thing is she made it. I just wanted to share the experience so you might know as well if you like to pursue on being a pharmacist in Canada. Thanks and God Bless!
  9. Hi shreerama, For the speaking section, what I did before was to attend a class. More likely, the call center training, they teach english grammars and how you pronounce the words. How to communicate with native americans. If you know any classes or trainings from where you are, might as well try it. They also gave us CDs to study the correct pronounciation of words and how to speak like a native american. I took the class just for 2 weeks before the exam and it was really cheap (converted to about $ 40), and I think it really helped me. Hope I was able to help you. Thanks and Good luck!
  10. Hi guys.. Anyone from NY? I need a study partner as well... Thanks and Good Luck to all!
  11. Hi sonuritu, Don't give up easily, applying for december examination will close till October 19, 2007. Hopefully you'd be able to send all the requirement before that date. From NABP : Registrations for the December 1, 2007 FPGEE will not be accepted after October 19, 2007, or once all the test sites have reached capacity, whichever comes first. Please note that seating for the examination is limited. Hope I was able to help you.. God Bless!!!
  12. Hi Orwa, Regarding your question on extending a visit visa, I'm not really sure on how long would it take. What i know is that if you want to extend, you should apply for an extension 2 or 3 months prior to your visa expiration. I'm not really sure on this one..but I'll check if I can collate some answers on this. I hope I was able to help you! Thanks and God Bless!
  13. Hi Pharmacist771, Im not really sure on this one... but I'll try to research on this. Hopefully I'd be able to get answers as well. Thanks so much!
  14. Hi there, Just wanted to share this article... H-1B General Information: The H-1B Non-Immigrant Visa is designed for professional people who are coming to the United States to work for an employer in "Specialty Occupations". A maximum of 65,000 H-1B visas are issued every year. An additional 20,000 H-1B visas are available to foreign nationals with a minimum of a Masters level degree from a US academic institution. Employees of institutions of higher education, related or affiliated nonprofit entities, or nonprofit or government research organizations are not subject to the numerical limit and may file at any time. Visas are issued for three years and may be extended for an additional three years. You may pursue a Green Card application through employment sponsorship in any other category. The list of specialty occupations includes, inter alia, Financial Analysts, Doctors and Nurses in managerial positions, Scientists, Architects, Lawyers, Accountants, Computer Analysts, Web Designers, Programmers, and Engineers. A Bachelor degree is required (or the equivalent in work experience). Spouse and unmarried children will be entitled to H-4 Derivative status. The "Temporary Professional Worker" visas are available to individuals with a four-year bachelor's degree from the U.S. or abroad seeking a “Specialty Occupation” position with a United States employer. Under recent interpretations, the employer can be a corporation owned entirely by the foreign professional and/or his/her family. The visa is available for a maximum of six years and there’s the possibility that it could lead to permanent residency. Thanks and God Bless to all!!!
  15. Hi Orwa, Just wanted to share what I read about changing of status to H1 Visa... All H-1B petitions are filed with the appropriate United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) office by the US Employer. If you are outside the US and your petition is approved you will have to apply for an H-1B Visa in the US Consulate at your country of residence. If you are already in the US in a different status you may apply for a Change of Status to H-1B. However, if you leave the US, you will have to apply for an H-1B Visa at a US Consulate in order to be admitted again in this status. A decision can take approximately 180 days. Sometimes, the USCIS issues a "Notice of Action" requesting additional documents and/or information to support your application, and this procedure affects the processing time. Thanks!
