1. Thanks, Brent. That's exactly what I was looking for.. Appreciate your help.
2. Question 2: a / (xs) = 632 and a / (ys) = 158 Quantity A: x Quantity B: y This is how I did it: a/s = 638x; a/s = 158y Now we can equate the two a/s values, which should give you 638x = 158y => y = 638x/158 => y = 4x Thus, Y is 4 times larger than X. (Hence Answer B).
3. We know what f(x) is, and we want to find f(2t). Now we need to plug in 2t for x: f(x) = x^2 + x f(2t) = (2t)^2 + 2t f(2t) = 4t^2 + 2t But we know that f(2t) = 30: 30 = 4t^2 + 2t 0 = 4t^2 + 2t - 30 0 = 2t^2 + t - 15 Once I reached this point, I veered off and chose to use the quadratic formula instead of factoring it (like others have done it) That should directly get you to the answers (5/2 & -3)
4. Spotted this on a YouTube video..Though I can solve and reach the answer in a relatively short time, I assuming there is a short cut for this.. Any help? Thanks X is a positive integer less than 100. When X is divided by 5 the remainder is 4, and when X is divided by 23, the remainder is 7. What is the value of X?
5. I agree with Moma. Without knowing P1 and P2, Stmt 1 is insufficient. Whereas Stmnt 2 is suffificent, because it gives the value of taxes (price x % tax =pt) for the product in State A Vs StateB, which is sufficient to answer the question. So, I'd go with B.
6. Looks like I am the odd man out here who picked A. I think the actor remained as the popular one in rentals for seven years as more people watched his movies over and over, every year. This does not necessarily mean they only watched new movies. The probably watched the older movies of this actor more than the newer one.
7. My picks are: D, C, & A. Must admit that I was groping around with the 1t question before I made an educated guess (had to do so as I always strive to complete CRs in under 2 mins)
8. Could you please post them on e-snips and send a link to those who are interested? for one, I am definitely interested in the notes you complied from ST. You are welcome to send me a message via PM and indicate where they can be accessed? BTW, Congratulations on that great score.
9. Got that one right. I picked B. If what you said is right "f u can do this.. Its all over.. GMAT is done" I'd be glad to call quits on all my prep activities. But that wouldn't be wise for me to do so, right? Trust me! There is much more brutal content around the GMAT prep world. This, IMHO, would be rated as "average" in terms of difficulty.
10. Agreeing with Ankost 200%. This question seems whacky. :hmm::2cents:
11. Igot this via e-mail this morning. Unable to verify the sender's authenticity, I have not taken the risk to try the method suggested below to gain access to ScoreTop. Hope this is legit and the user community can once again gain access soon. It is scary to think what could have prompted the Site to get shuttered down.. fromzhang belinda tomihir.urs@gmail.com dateFri, May 16, 2008 at 5:23 AM subjectscoretop mailed-bygmail.com hide details 5:23 AM (6 hours ago) Reply Dear member, This is an email from scoretop. 12. Folks, This morning I got an e-mail (shown below) from some Belinda Zhang offering a solution to get access to ScoreTop. It sounds creepy as hell with all signs of a "Hack" job. Did anyone of you get this and try it on your computers? Maybe I am a novice at such things, but it would be great to know if this is even a legit attempt by ScoreTop management to get back on their feet. Let me know what you think. 13. wow.. incredible achievement. It is, in my world of marathon training, the toughest part of the race. Every point above 700 is very tough to notch and you have done it so wonderfully in this 2nd attempt. Bravo! Inspiring, to say the least! Looking forward to your debrief to learn how you closed the gap in your second attempt.
14. Grrrr..Silly me.. I have to remember that "instead is not a conjunction" rule. Thanks for making it clear.
