  1. @queen2: The argument mentions that the Socialist party government in Ganelon could affect its relation with U.S. But there is no mention of the relationship of U.S with other African nations. Do let me know if its still not clear
  2. IMO C A)The Social Sciences donot have as much predictive power as the natural sciences.(Extreme) (B)Maths plays a more important role in the natural sciences than it does in the social sciences.(Irrelevant) ©There is a need in the social sciences to improve the ability to predict (D)Phenomena in social sciences should not be reduced to Maths forumales(The argument states otherwise) (E)Prediction is responsible for the success of the natural sciences.(Again, extreme)
  3. @coffee. It actually does not mean that. It means that there must be something else which influences the rate of alcohol consumption. Thats what C says. "extreme" means a sentence which has very poweful words, such as "All, None". The OA would mostly have words such "some of them or most of them, but not all of them or none of them" Hope it helps...
  4. IMO A. Argument: Ganelon presently has strong political and military ties to the United States Conclusion: Since the Socialist party is widely expected to win the election, fears are that Ganelon will soon break away from the pro-American bloc and adopt a nonaligned or openly anti-American stance. This implies Socialist party is more opposed to pro-American bloc than any other party. Thats what A says...
  5. This is what I think it is... Steve and JoAnne will only join if the other does not join. So,if Cecily tells Steve that JoAnne is not joining then Steve will join. Similarly, if Cecily tells JoAnne that Steve is not joining, then JoAnne will join. So, there is a possiblity that either of them can join and not both...
  6. Congrats Test Taker. Re-taking GMAT as well.U sure r a inspiration for the never die attitude... All the best for your applications!!
  7. @doit:Thats what all of us are trying to figure out. I guess we take Retake_GMAT's suggestion of taking a MGMAT test and then check where we stand
  8. Rightly said by Retake_GMAT. We need to understand what exactly have we done wrong in our GMATPreps'. So, if each of us could provide some inputs, we could learn from each other's mistakes and improve our score...
  9. @scorpion.ks:U r right. Not all of the questions from GMATPrep were new ones. So, probabaly that does make a difference. But as far as I know and have observed a couple of people on the forum, the guys are really gud. If I take my example, I have got even the most difficult CR's on this forum right and on average most SC's right I have observed Retake_GMAT's answers as well, the CR explanations provided by Retake_GMAT have been awesome!! So, there does not seem to be an explanation for scores of 540 and 610!!
  10. @thinkking..I didnt find any of the verbal questions tough either. So, again not sure what happened @Converbal: Concur with you that we have achieved around 700,so lets try once again. Thanks for the tips. One tip from my side which I got from a 700+ scorer. Take lots of practice tests from Manhattan and Princeton and analyize the mistakes.
  11. Okay. There is something terribly wrong happening here. I was in a state of shock till now but just recovered. I have scored 670 and 690 in my GMATPreptests and landed with 540. My other tests average is also around 680. Others, who have similar experiences please post it.Lets check if there is something which can be done. If possible can some TM guru's throw light on this..Has the GMAT software changed?
  12. @suchilkumar. I just tried plugging the answer in the sentence..This is how B reads when plugged in: While some propose to improve bus transportation and timing for the school district's students by changing bus routes, others suggest fining the bus company to increase the incentive for one time pick ups, and still others are demanding the district use a different transportation .
  13. C is wrong as "fine of the bus company" is not correct. A, D and E...require the use of "that" by demanding "that" demand "that". B is the right one. OA pls
