Hi, Even if it will not be from the topics which are listed in 185-TWE Topics by ETS, if you will go through those topics and read it atleast once..you will get an idea about how to write an essay. It is also possible that, the topic may be closely related to one of those TWE topics... I found it useful for my TOEFL. If you will have time, then just go through it once. All the best.

No mbm09, yet I have not done with my TOEFL. Now I'm having very bad headache, because I don't know what will be my result. I think preparing for exam is much easier than waiting for score... Hi friends. I just finished my toefl. I got 3 passages in reading section. In first part of reading section there was only 1 passage and counting timer started with 20 minutes. In second part of reading section there were 2 passages and counting timer started with 40 minutes. So total 3 passages and 60 minutes. So I think you don't need to worry, you will also get the same, because last month my cousin also gave TOEFL and the pattern was same for him also. In listening I got 2parts with 1 campus conversation and 2 lectures in each and 20 minutes to answer both parts. Speaking and writing section was same as we see in practice book. QUESTION:Some people like to communicate by e-mail and voice mail. Other people like to communicate by telephone or face to face. Which type of communication do you prefer, and why? Be sure to include details and examples to support your opinion. Some people prefer to communicate via e-mail and voice mail. Other people like to communicate by telephone or face to face. According to me, I would like the telephone or face to face way of communication. In my point of view, there are three reasons for this. First of all, when we hear our beloved people voice, we feel good and happy. As there is direct communication in both of us and there is also a feeling of closeness. Second, when we meet a person face to face, there is more direct contact we have with that person. We can share more ideas, feelings, thoughts and all without waiting for a reply time. When we are together we can cherish those good moments of being together also, it gives us good memories. Third, while communicating via phone or face to face we do not need to wait for a response time, which we need via e-mail or voice mail. There is more of a direct and clear communication, which is not there in e-mail or voice mail. It takes time to write an e-mail, when that person will read it and will reply it, is not known. So, in the conclusion as we can hear voice of our beloved ones on telephone, then we can actually see and talk to person in face to face communication. And at the last there is very less response time when we are communicating, I would like to prefer communicate people by telephone or face to face instead of writing an e-mail.

can someone please tell me that.. in the reading section of toefl ibt..there is one very common question which is asked frequently....in which we have to select 3 options to complete a summary of passage. in directions to solve questions..it is written that on the computer screen we just need to drag the correct answer at the answer place. so can someone please tell me that..is it necessary that the answer we drag to answer box should be in the same order as they are mentioned in reading passage..or we can just grag them to answer box.. please help me in this question..as this is a question which comes for more than 1 or 2 marks.. thanks in advance.. regards, sana

Everyone has a different reason for going to university. Some people goes to university just for enjoyment and some cosiders it as a challenge. According to me one should go to university to gain knowledge, to built good career and meet new people. Altimetly, studying at university has differenr advantages like, one can gain knowledge, can built successful and strong career and also can meet different peoples from different background. As we all know the fact that ' knowledge is power'. We can diminish nearly all problems in our life with knowledge. At the high school we gains knowledge about the basic things, we can say fundamental things also. But in the university we can gain the knowledge in depth about the topic. For example, when i was at high school i knew only few things about the human organs but when i studied at university i got the knowledge about it in detail. Secondly, one can built there careers with studying at university. people study little about all subjects at the high school level with very little choice for subject selection. But when they go to university they have a choice to select a subject of their own interest. Like, some people study professional courses. With this one can build a career of his/her own choice and interest. Finally, sometime people have to leave away from their home to study at university which gives them new opportunity to get new experiences in life. This is applicable to all who study at university. Because people meet new other peoples and students from different backgrounds, cultures, regions. So one can get information about different backgrounds. Also meeting other peoples one can make new friends also, learns how to behave in community and so many different things. So according to me, people goes to university so that they can widen their knowledge, can build successfull and shining career, can get a good job in future, can meet new peoples and get new experiences in life. because experiences are also a good teacher for us as we learns so many things from our experiences also.
