Hey everyone, I am in a delima because, I am working with Target as a Pharmacy Technician and I got an opportunity with Walmart. My job at target is part time(20 - 25 hours), where as I am getting more hours(35-40 hours) at walmart. I was thinking to continue the part time job and reduce hours with target, and work with walmart also. Is this feasible? Am I doing something wrong? Somebody told me that walmart and target are competitors, so I cannot work with both.Please answer me. I will highly appreciate your responses. Thanks.

Hello Everybody, It is really very very difficult to get H1b sponsership this year and specially with the Chain Pharmacies. I had applied to all chain pharmacies and I am in touch with them since january, but everytime I contact them, I get the same response that they are not hiring. I am really worried about getting Internship this year. Has anybody got a positive reply from any of chain pharmacies ?(Walgreens, CVS, RiteAid, Meijer, Kroger, Walmart, Sams club) Do share with us.

Hi Winona, I agree with your point to some extent, but I was offered position in a very remote area, for which I had made up my mind to stay and had thought of some options to deal with the situation, if Rite Aid offers H1b to me. Later in the offer letter they stated that I may be positioned in other place where vacancy would be there. Now it was important for me to know how far I could strech myself to commute or relocate to that particular location. Also, I am kind of person, who will not like to fool them accepting the postition at that point, and then leaving Rite Aid, once i complete my internship...This led me to ask a couple of questions regarding the contract. I agree that it may have led them to think in other way..but my point is, they told me that they will not sponser at the end..when I did not have any windows open to take some other opportunity....thats bad..now I just have to sit back and wait for next year searching for other sponsers who can do H1b for me.. anyways I believe that everything happens for good only and god is always with us...hopefully there would be something good in not getting this opportunity.

Hi Osman, Even I am sailing in the same boat. I received an e-mail from James on thursday that RiteAid is withdrawing the offer of sponsering H1b to me..I was shocked and called Janette right away to know what was going on. She said that they thought you will not stay committed to Rite Aid for a long time and so they do not want to take a chance..:( really now I don't know what to do...

hi sony and winona, yes they said that the contract is on my words only and there will not be any penalties if i leave Rite Aid before three years. The only thing I have to give them back will be the amount of relocation (2500 $). This amout Rite Aid would be giving me at the start of job, so I have to return that money.

Hi Winona, Thanks, I received my offer letter yesterday. Now I am relaxed. Apart from the letter, I have to accept many things if I work with Rite Aid, 1. They said I can be placed to any other location except the one I was chosen for interview. 2. I will not be eligible for even a single leave till I complete my Internship 3. I will get 2 weeks leave, once I become licenced 4. I will get 2 weeks Leave without pay to prepare for exams after Internship 5. I will stay with Rite Aid for 3 years after becoming Licenced. As such we had talk that I would stay for 3 years after I become licenced, but I confirmed with them that I will not have to pay any penalties incase if I have to leave Rite Aid before 3 years.. seems the job would be tough!!! but atleast I got chance to receive H1b this year!! Thank god

Hi everyone, I got an opportunity from rite Aid and they are ready to do H1b sponsership for me. But I have not received offer letter yet. I am really worried about it.

I am residing in cincinnati, and I had chosen Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia and Michigan state(only if I get some good area to work) as the areas of preferences.Two days back I received a mail from walgreens, stating that they did not have any openings in Ohio, Kentucky, West virginia or Indiana. They gave me 5 locations in Michigan where openings were available. But the areas given to me are very remote areas and very far from ohio. So I did not accept the locations. Lets see if walgreens have any other place to offer me.

Hi everybody, I was in contact with Walgreens since November 2008, for H1b sponsership as pharmacy Intern. I got reply from them that they will consider the applications after Dec - 2008. I received e-mail from Walgreens stating that they do not have any positions avialable in Ohio and Kentucky in Jan 2009. I was told to select another state where positions may be available. I selected Indiana. Again I got the response two days back that they do not have positions in Indiana either. Now this is frustrating for me as I stay in Cincinnati and I am ready to travel so long to places like Kentucky and Indiana, still Walgreens does not have any positions available. I am afraid this time I would get any sponsership or not.

I am in contact with the recruiters since 2 months, though during my last correspondance I got the answer, that there are no openings in the area that I want.Which state you live in? and do you need H1b sponsership? I had contacted Walgreens, but they replied that I should contact them in January 2009 for H1 sponsership. Please let me know how did you get interview call so early. Hi everybody. I am staying in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have cleared my FPGEE in December 2007 and with a lot of struggle , I cleared my Toefl after three trials. But Now I am stuck up with a new problem. Some days back, I applied for Ohio Intern Licence. Today I called them up to know the status of my application. But when I talked with them, they asked for Social Security Number. I am on Dependent Visa(Spouse Visa) over here. So I am not eligible for SSN Number. When I clarified that to them, they told that as per the rule of Ohio, the person having SSN number is only eligible for getting Intern Licence.. I am shocked!!!!..With all the hurdles, I cleared both FPGEE and TOEFL, but how can I change my status?? How should I go ahead in this matter?? Is there anybody who has similar kind of situation? Or can anybody guide me in this case?? I would really appreciate your help. Thank you.
