Well, not actually. I'm Iranian and I live and study in Malaysia. So, yes, there is enough difficulty for me to move to US/Canada (you know we have 12 hours time difference with you guys! That's right at the other side of the earth!). My top choice would be Purdue, but I don't really know what are the criteria they are looking for! So, Just wish me luck.

I've few researches. especially in the field of operating systems and computer networking and now I'm actually developing a distributed file system. Sorry I forgot to mention. How about other universities?

Hi everyone, I have a bachelor of computer science from one of the good universities in Malaysia with GPA 3.81 and almost 3 years of work experience + couple of awards from usually ACM/ICPC related competitions held in Malaysia, but nothing internationally. And I've applied for PhD of computer science at purdue university (IN) for distributed systems. For LORs, I got one from our Dean of the faculty, one from my ACM Math lecturer (he's got PhD of Mathematics from Wisconsin-Madison) and one from my supervisor, and I guess they've wrote pretty good letters (well somehow I'm considered one of the good students of the faculty). I didn't do the GRE test, because it wasn't required and for IELTS I got 7.0 overall. What do you think about my application? Will I get accepted? I also applied for: MIT - aaaaaah!:whistle: - PhD! (Our dean is from MIT, that's why I dared to apply!) Illinois Urbana Champaign - Master of Computer Science University of Toronto - Master of Computer Science York University (Canada) - Master Concordia University (Canada) - Master Oklahoma State University - Master The best university that I prefer is Purdue, but still what do you think about these? Any chance? Thank you for helping.
