Hello, Can I send the results to universities and then rescore? I mean I would like to get my Speaking increased (from 24 to 26) but the actual result is fair enough. If I get 26, I'll send new results (I hope it is allowed); if no, I will just hope that the universities will not be able to see the result after rescoring. Is this possible?

Almost the same. A very exhausting reading section (5 passages). Hope the results will be satisfactory (I need more than 100). I did not prepare for this test since I took another one in March.

Finally! I got 26®, 20(L), 24(S), 28(W) with the total result of 98. I am not satisfied with my result in Listening. The section was rather challenging since the voices were synthesised. I do not know whether there was a computer bug or it was supposed to be so (the proctor did not know either). It disturbed me very much in the beginning and, apparently, made me lose some points. Overall, I am proud of myself because I had to get prepared for the test within strong time limits and had to significantly improve my skills in English within 5 weeks (my first foreign language is French, I have been learning English for 2 years and have never paid much attention to it since there was no need speaking English: I successfully communicated in French or in the limited international English). All the best for those who are taking and who will take this test. Be confident of yourselves and you will succeed.

When will the results become available? I'm checking this damned site several times a day in hope that it won`t take exactly 3 weeks to get a score, yet I`m still kept in suspense. That`s horrible. I would pay twice the cost of the test if they worked faster :/

B Kassa, may I ask you where you took the exam and what questions were in the Speaking (familiar topics) and Writing (independent essay) sections? Thank you.

In my view, there is only one point: I'm not sure whether your mother tongue is one of the Slavic languages but I can see well a lot of calques from it ) Otherwise, examples are quite clear. If you have time you could just work on your style. I'm not a native speaker, I may be mistaken but I suggest you read more so that proper English structures come easily. I suppose it's a minor point on the exam, though.

Dandan, thank you a lot for advice. Could you recommend a strategy for the first question? It is so abstract that, considering my rather primitive speaking abilities, I just get nervous when I have to improvise within time limits. It is easier for me to reshape what it has just been said than put together my ideas about the subject. Maybe you could suggest some structures that would fill the time and make a fuzzy answer sound better, couldn't you? :)

Oh... I don't want to be rude but it was difficult to follow the ideas expressed in the essay, the more so because I don't know what the author's mother tongue is (maybe this way of expressing thoughts is natural to it). My humble suggestion is to be more logical without showing off too much (I believe everyone here has particularly appreciated your rich vocabulary but, in my opinion, it is slightly excessive) :-) Don't get offended, please ;-)

Hi, I'm sure you can just call this college explain the situation. I have a similar problem (the deadline is March, 15, and I'm to take the test on March, 2). Well, I called the adviser, he suggested I send all the documents before the deadline and then they can wait two or three weeks for the TOEFL score.

Hi, Have you actually found types of questions they can ask? I've downloaded a program which is called Toefl Ibt Speaking Conqueror. I definitely hope it will improve my skills ) I started speaking English with my parter who knows it very well but when I have to answer the question "What's your favourite plate?" (I'm exaggerating) and find something to say within 45 second I'm just panic-stricken :rolleyes:
