  1. I have not received anything from Queen's. I looked online and it still says: Application completed". Anyway, I accepted an offer somewhere else as it is too late now. So, if I get an offer, I will give it to someone else...good luck to the others.
  2. I know it is probably not as exciting as Harvard, but I got accepted at UOttawa with 18K. I am still waiting for Queen's (and some american ones too).
  3. I got rejected from UBC by email last year. So, I think rejection also go out by email. Good luck

    Nyu

NYU was (is ???) my first choice and I did not receive anything...I am totaly depressed. Good luck to the others.
  5. If you want to go for a PhD, it does not really matter which one you go if it is a top 5. Especially with a PhD, the position after graduation would not be a problem neither.
  6. I am an electrical enginer (I actually studied at Polytechnic) and McGill is way better and more recognize than Waterloo. McGill was named the best university in Canada many years in a row. But it is also a question of preferences. Goo luck
  7. I know...I am doing my MSc Ec at LSE right now...;)
  8. I don't actually remember as I applied at UPF last year. You should contact them via email (and quickly). Good luck
  9. I got the same last year...They just want to make sure that you finish well. Congrats !!!
  10. There is another one (I think) who got accepted at Cornell on GC. The suspense is killing me...
  11. No, especially GRE: cannot be waived in any case.
  12. I think, if I saw correctly, that even when you accept an offer, it is not binding until a certain date. So, you can decline after you accpted an offer.
  13. I also saw some university who will ask you to take english classes before attending, or during the first semester. It depends on the rest of your file and where you apply.
  14. When something is missing, most of the time, the admin will send you an email to let you know and ask you to provide within a certain timeframe. So, don't worry. It happened to me at NYU last year. They sent me an email and I reply saying it was in the mail. They said it was fine...and I was accepted.
  15. I think that UBC and Simon Fraser give funding for master, but only to the very good student (at least for UBC). I would not recommend you start a PhD if you don't want to finish it. If you do not want to persue work in academia, PhD is not that useful, I would say. Which school did you study at for undergrad? 3.6/4.0 is low for entry at UBC. I had 4.0 and did not get in !!! Good luck.
