  1. Hi clumsy, Thank you. I got approval with Walgreens.Yes, I posted that Rite aid will sponsor me, but, the offer letter of Walgreens came first. So I decided to go with the first one who offered a job. I know the legal implications of applying for two companies, that is why I decided on the first company who sent the actual offer letter. Goodluck to all of us.!:)
  2. Thank you!Goodluck to you also.Yes Im very happy.:)

  6. 2010 H-1B Petition Season USCIS begins accepting H-1B petitions subject to the Fiscal Year 2010 (FY 2010) cap on April 1, 2009. Cases are considered accepted on the date that USCIS takes possession of the petition; not the date that the petition is postmarked. The numerical limitation on H-1B petitions for Fiscal Year 2010 is 65,000. Additionally, the first 20,000 H-1B petitions filed on behalf of aliens who have earned a U.S. masters’ degree or higher are exempt from the fiscal year cap. USCIS will monitor the number of petitions received and will notify the public of the date USCIS has received the necessary number of petitions to meet the H-1B cap, known as the “final receipt date.” The date USCIS publishes information that the cap has been reached does not control the final receipt date. To ensure a fair system, USCIS will, if needed, randomly select the number of petitions required to reach the numerical limit from the petitions received on the final receipt date. USCIS will reject cap subject petitions that are not selected, as well as those received after the final receipt date. H-1B petitions cannot be filed more than six months in advance of the requested start date. Petitions seeking an H-1B worker for an Oct. 1, 2009 start date can be filed no earlier than April 1, 2009. Petitions for new H-1B employment are exempt from the annual cap if the beneficiaries will work at institutions of higher education or a related or affiliated nonprofit entities, or at nonprofit research organizations or governmental research organizations. Thus, employers may continue to file petitions for these exempt H-1B categories seeking work dates starting in FY 2009 or 2010. Copied from USCIS page
  7. USCIS to Accept H-1B Petitions for FY 2010 Beginning April 1, 2009 Petitioners Are Reminded to Follow Regulatory Requirements WASHINGTON—U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) today announced that it will begin accepting H-1B petitions subject to the fiscal year 2010 (FY 2010) cap on April 1, 2009. Cases will be considered accepted on the date that USCIS takes possession of the petition; not the date that the petition is postmarked. Petitions filed on behalf of current H-1B workers who have been counted previously against the cap also do not count towards the congressionally mandated H-1B cap. Accordingly, USCIS will continue to process petitions filed to: Extend the amount of time a current H-1B worker may remain in the United States. Change the terms of employment for current H-1B workers. Allow current H-1B workers to change employers. Allow current H-1B workers to work concurrently in a second H-1B position.H-1B petitioners should follow all regulatory requirements (8 CFR §214.2) as they prepare petitions to avoid delays in processing and possible requests for evidence. USCIS has developed detailed information, including a processing worksheet, to assist in the completion and submission of a FY2010 H-1B petition. Those documents are available from the Related Links section of this page. U.S. businesses use the H-1B program to employ foreign workers in specialty occupations that require theoretical or technical expertise in specialized fields, such as scientists, engineers, or computer programmers. 8. Thank you angel76! Goodluck to all of us.
  9. Hello! You could apply for an Intern License without FPGEC.But there are few Pharmacy Boards who accept that(ex.NH,MA).But the problem is, companies who offer H1b visa sponsorship, always ask for your FPGEC before they entertain your application as a Pharmacy Intern.Hence, you may get Intern licenses but it is very unlikely that you get hired for H1b sponsorship.
  10. Hi Guys! Good news!I just got the offer letter from Janette.!And all the company´s benefits.I hope to hear good news from you too.
  11. Tourist visa-copies of passport, and will request you to leave the country before filing.
  12. Yes, I do have information. From last year, based on my personal experience. This year, from a member of this forum who confirmed me that he/she signed the offer letter in January.
  13. There is no such template. You have to put in your resumé the schools, workexperiences and your personal information. When sending it, just say you are looking for an Intership position. That´s all.
  14. You are welcome!I know the hardships we´ve been through to get where we are now.Everybody deserves some help coz somehow we also received some help before from other persons. Its my way of helping other people. Goodluck and I hope to hear good news from you. We can do it PHARMACISTS!
  15. Yes its true!I received the email too.Though its a bit confusing since normally, they should send us the offer letter before we send the papers for the H1B sponsorship. But it seems that they are not in a hurry in sending us the offer letter.I know that there are people who signed their offer letter from Rite aid and sent it back to them. While there are people who were contacted by the paralegal to submit the paperworks for the sponsorship but have not received nor signed the offer letter. Whatever is the way, i think we are now on our way to the H1b sponsorship.Though things still may change, we could say we are almost there.:)
  16. Intern license first.you need to present it to the company you want to work for. Then they will go for your H1B.
  17. Read my post in the other thread.I answered your question on it.Thread is it difficult...
  18. The deficiency letter is issued to foreign pharmacists who apply for intern license who do not have SSN.You need it to apply for the job. Intern license first before H1b.
  19. You have to apply to the company where you want to work for. They will ask you to send all the documents they need.If they are interested, they will hire you. They are one who sponsor your visa to be able to work in the USA.They will file your H1b sponsorship on April1st.Last two or three years ago, lotteries were held coz there were a lot of applicants for the visas available. This year, we still don´t know if there wil be a lottery. There are difficulties in finding sponsors and job offers because of the recession. So, there may be less applicants. But who knows. Once your sponsorship gets approved by the USCIS, you will have to go for visa stamping and come to the USA ten days prior to your start date in your company.
