Hi aabdraff57, Yes, if you have green card or work permit, you can apply technician job at any chain stores such as CVS, Walgreens, or Kroger. You do not have to go to any school because they will train you once hiring you. Sometimes, it is easier to get a job if you have national certificate of Pharmacy technician which is not difficult to get. I think it is better for you to switch job to work at pharmacy now because it will bring you a lot of experience and knowledge which is very useful if you want to be a pharmacist here. Good luck.

Do you know how many hours per week we can work as intern in FL? I try to speed up to finish my 2080 intern hours before Dec 2008 but wondering whether I can work more than 40 hours a week.

Pharma4ever, Thank you very much for the replying. For TOEFL, I could not get ibt 26 even I tried many times but I got tse 45 before. If the Florida’s new policy is only good until Dec, I still can not take neplex because I will not have 2080 hours by Dec 31 2008. I have printed out Knok and Gideyam’s petition letters and am ready to send out to NABP. This is our only hope.

Hi Rimini, I have the same question as yours. I have read another post also mentioning the date of Dec 31. I do not know whether this special deadline is true or not. According to the new policy, we can not apply NEPLEX unless finished 2080 hours. There are 2 more months left, I think you should be able to get all your hours done by Dec. Good luck. I have also send email to the board, but they only gave me the website of how to apply license. Can you post any new information if you get response from Board? Thanks.

Hi Pharma4ever, Thanks for sharing the information. I read one post in another forum about FL new policy of pharmacist application(accepting TSE45). It sounds that the new policy is valid only before Dec 31,2008. Do you know is this true or just people's guessing? Thanks in advance. Amy

Thanks for Knok and other people's time and effort. You did wonderful job for us. I have been taking TOEFL for years in order to get 26 or 50. I will contribute money too.
