  1. what are recommended books for studying TOEFL?
  2. Just heared I have to take the TOEFL. I am completly new to this game and was wondering how difficulty level compares with GMAT verbal (I took this). What are the standard books to prepare and what is a reasonable prep time. Can I take a good diagnostic somewhere? thx
  3. There is lot of info around de regular mba's available but what would be typical requirements for top EMBA program's (GMAT, workexperience, university background). Which shools are considered top 10 emba program's thx
  4. samratsking, preperation was as follows. started with diagonistic in og11. this showed good result in math sections which is no surprise since my background in electrical engineering (I use math daily). The time I spent on math was on the pacing: balance taking enough time to deliver a good answer and keeping enough time to finish the test. Finshed math section in realgmat with 5 secs left. diagnostic showed perfect score on RC, so no more training exept for GMATprep. (btw in secondary school this was a strong point for me) CR same story this comes quit naturally to me. SC was terrible in the diagnostic and stayed terrible through out training (until last night). I spent most of my time (in the last 2 weeks) reviewing OG11 on SC.....still cannot explain my verbal score . SSKY: maybe you should view my prep period different. In a sence I started preparing my math section 20 year ago when I started secondary school and worked on the basics.
  5. Did gmat today and reached 750 - can not really explain this. Used OG11 as only source. Studied the material roughly 2 weeks almost every evening for say 2 hours. GMATPREP 1: 690 GMAT PREP 2: 680 During test scorred very bad on SC. Must have been lucky on test day. Feeling during real gmat was that is was much thouger in the testcenter compared to home. I was aiming voor 600+ to do an EMBA at a local business school, so I am happy. good luck to you all future test takers:tup:
