My answer: A. I have seen OG stick to the rule that AS should be used only for clauses, where as Manhattan GMAT is ok with AS being used for noun comparison as well. Plus, option A seems the most appropriate to me. OA please.

My answer B. The subject of this statement is "list of animals" and not animals. Going by that, I rule out C, D and E. Preference to use sounds more idiomatic than preference for. Another change needed in A: "Preference of either using right or using left..". Why C, D and E are definitely wrong. We have only one statement and hence have one subject. If animals is that subject, the verb (has) in the second part of the sentence does not agree with the plural form of animals. OA please.

Hi, I just checked the answer explanation for this problem and looks like there're a few inconsistencies. While the initial explanation of the answer sounds right, the details of individual options is not completely right. Eg. In Option 1 the 3 items are parallel. Please confirm or let me know if I am missing something. Raghu

Hi friends, First of all, feels awesome to be back to this wonderful forum, posting queries. I owe a lion's share of my minimal success to this forum. But my journey still isnt over and I still need help from this place. So plz help. I had given my GMAT in Nov'08 after 2 months of prep. Had actively participated in this forum, but only in the fag-end of my prep. Even though I started my prep 3-4 months prior to my exam date, I concentrated only for the last 1.5 to 2 months. Honestly, 570 is the range of score I had expected, since that was the result of my GMAT Preps. I always wanted to give my debrief here, but cudnt do so because of my dejection. Today I got inspired becoz of my roomie's stmt that GMAT n MBA make no sense. I didn't want my effort to go wasted and I have to prove to myself more than anyone else. enuf of the dialogs, coming to the basics.. during the test, I felt I performed poorly in Quant and very well in Verbal. The results are here for you to see: V: 26(40%) Q: 42(63%) AWA: 5.5(80%) I was totally surprised! I referred OG11 but I did not complete it. I crossed multiple hurdles.. like, RC was next to impossible for me, but due to practice, I was quite comfortable by the time of the test... etc. But seems like I fell one month short of proper perp. I dearly want to revive myself by getting a good GMAT score which can shape up my future.. Kindly suggest or ask queries abt my prep, so that u can guide me. Thanks, Raghu
