  1. 1) If n is a positive integer, and the product of all integers from 1 -> n is a multiple of 990, what is the least possible value of n? a) 5 b) 8 c) 11 d) 13 e) 22 2) For any positive even integer n, h(n) is equal to the product of all even integers from 2-> n, inclusive. If p is the smallest prime factor of h(100) + 1, is p: a) between 2-10 b) between 10-20 c) between 20-30 d) between 30-40 e) greater than 40 I would appreciate anyone's help in algorithmic methods for solving these problems.
  2. I believe it's B), A) and C) respectively. Is there a typo in the B) answer to the second question?
  3. Along those lines, why would c) be incorrect?
  4. Testtaker, Where did you find that rule? Is there anywhere I can read it and learn the proof behind it? Thanks.
  5. Yes a) is correct. Thanks for your input.
  6. Archaeologists in Egypt have excavated a 5,000-year-old wooden hull that is the earliest surviving example of a "built" boat - in other words, a boat constructed out of planks fitted together - and that thus represents a major advance, in terms of boat-building technology, over the dugout logs and reed vessels of more ancient vintage. a) together - and that thus represents b) together - and this has represented c) together, and it respresents d) together that was representing e) together to represent I'll post the answer in a few hours, but I wanted to hear people's explanations for which answer and why? I'm at a loss here.
  7. Nevermind...I'm dumb. I got it now.
  8. The question I received on the GMAC practice exam was as follows: If two sides of a triangle have lengths 2 and 5, which of the following could be the perimeter of the triangle? I) 9 II) 15 III) 19 a) None b) I only c) II only d) II and III only e) I, II, and III My guess was b), but GMAC's correct answer was a) None. This may be easy, but for the life of me I can't understand how this is the answer? Any help you can give would be appreciated...
