  1. T Thanks den_geo, in a haste I considered the statement 1 to be the part of problem statement and marked B. Need to be cautious in making such silly mistakes :)
  2. If the positive integer q is a perfect cube, what is the value of q? 1) 100>q>10 2) q is an odd number Spoler: OA given is C, whereas I marked it as B. Can someone explain the reasoning behind this? This question appeared in one of the 800 tests
  3. 1. (2,1) is the point which is twice as far from P as from Q. 2. Out of 1 - 7 leave 1, 2 and 3, since their divisibility is covered in 6. Hence the remaining ones are 7, 6, 5 and 4. consider 7 and 6, 42 is the lowest number which is divisible by 7 and 6. Coming down to 5, 42 is not divisible by 5, but multiplying it by 5 makes it so. hence the no. is 210. come to 4, this is still not divisible by 4. The minimum value we multiply by 210 so as to make it divisible by 4 is 2. i.e. 420. Which is the lowest number divisible by numbers 1 - 7. I am pretty sure that there would be a short cut for this kind of question. May be some one can post that tooo :)
  4. One more vote for C, my explanation: 1. For all positive integer values of x, the inequality x/|x|1, the inequality holds true, hence we can conclude that, |x| is not less than 1 2. |x|>x, the inequality holds true for negative integer values of x, for positive integer values of x this does not holds true. Considering fractions also the result is same as for integer values, hence we can conclude that |x| is again not less than 1
  5. Its indeed D, bite being Singular, A and B are ruled out, and again in C and E, bite is referred at their and they, as correctly explained by Effective_Factor
  6. Yes, in my view A would have worked in case of distinguish.....
  7. Thanks for pointing out boston_dream. It was a type error :(
  8. The correct answer can be found by looking at the choices as well, D and E are ruled out as it is more than the amount fo 50L shares A is again ruled out since its very near to the figure 1.25 for last quarter Between B and C, B is too less when considering the avg of first 3 quarters (When profit is 7.2$) as compared to last quarter (Where profit is 1.25$) hence C is the best choice.
  9. IMO E A - Here the fruit taking oxygen and leaving carbon dioxide is compared with way human beings breathe, hence wrong B - Similarly is incorrect and does not go with original sentence C - Incorrect usage of like D - Incorrect comparison E - This goes in line with the original sentence, (Fruit) Just like human beings do (it continues for some time to respire, taking in oxygen and giving off carbon dioxide) when they breathe
  10. The Catch here is "Markup that was 25% of selling price" which can be 80 $. Discount of 20% on this, SP becomes 64, hence 4$ profit on a jacket is observed
  11. IMO B A - Too wordy B - Directly links to the Adult Survivors - follows with to recognize and treat their symptoms C - Turns it to Passive Voice - can be avoided D - Their is missing E - Adult Survivors - one shall not really categorize them in his or her symptoms, since survivors are treated as a Whole Whats the OA?
  12. Hi Ekta_22, Can you post the link of the document? Thankx
  13. Thanks Sanjeev...... OA = E = 10
  14. There are five girls, Amy, Barbara, Candice, Diane, and Elaine, playing in the park. If three of these girls will be chosen to play in a football game, how many different groups of girls can be chosen to play? (A) 120 (B) 90 © 60 (D) 40 (E) 10 Pls explain your answere...... This is a Bell Curves Question. I am somehow not able to understand the procedure of the solution mentioned. OA in next post :)
