  3. It has been said, “Not everything that is learned is contained in books.” Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why? Learning is a life long process. People are always learning throughout their life. There are two main ways through which people to gain knowledge – from books and from experience. It is quite difficult to point, which is more important. In my opinion, knowledge from experience is more important than that from books. Knowledge gained from books is theoretical and instructive that cannot be gained from experienced. Everybody would have watched an apple falling from tree. According to our experience alone, we cannot tell why it happened. But from learning the Newton’s laws of gravitation in physics we can find the answer “that it is because of the earth’s gravitation”. Therefore books can explain certain theories in a better way. On the other hand experience can prove if the knowledge gained from books is true or false. In the past People theorized that the earth is the center of the solar of our solar system but now scientists have proved that in fact the Sun is the center of the solar system. Learning from experience can be seen in our day to day lives also. It has been rightly said “Experiences makes man perfect”. Not everything can be learned from what is written in books. Books only teach us what people have written in the past. The knowledge from experience help us much more than those from books.
  4. Is it so? Does the reviewer know where you are from? Meenu

  13. Please comment on my version . Meenu Yadav Getting an opportunity to visit a foreign country is a great gift. If I ever get such an opportunity then I would definitely visit India. It would be wonderful to visit this vast country. I have read a lot about the vast and rich cultural heritage of India. People in India are from various casts, creeds, backgrounds, and religions. But still you can find unity in diversity in India. If I happen to visit India then I would have chance to meet all sort of people and I can learn from them a lot. There are lots of historical places in India that I can visit. I would definitely like to visit places in Delhi, Jaipur and Agra specially. Delhi, which is capital of India, has lots of historical monuments. I can visit Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, Lotus temple and museums. I would definitely go to chandani chawk, which is the downtown of Delhi. In Agra I can visit “Taj Mahal “ which is one of the wonders of the world. It is built in pure white marble by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal. Apart from being a country having vast cultural heritage India is also a major economic power in South Asia. It is one of the fastest growing economies. India is also famous in world for its Family tradition. In India there is this great concept of joint family. It teaches us a lot about cooperation and tolerance. So I think that by visiting India I would definitely learn a lot and I would have fun too.
  14. Topic:59 Some people are always in a hurry to go places and get things done. Other people prefer to take their time and live life at a slower pace. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Essay: Some people are always in a hurry to go to places or getting things done, they are in too much quick in making decisions. While on the other hand some people prefer to take their time and live life at a slower pace. I believe the above two choices depend on the attitude of a person. I personally prefer to take my time and live life at a slower pace. I will support my point by the following views. People say that working quickly is important but I believe that working efficiently is what that matters. The decisions or work done quickly with an attitude of just getting over are unsuccessful most of the times. I don’t like rushing to get things done. I believe that you should think before doing things and do things at a slower pace. After all it has been rightly said, “ Slow and steady wins the race.” According to me there is no point in just going to place if you do not enjoy the place, it’s beauty. It is simply wastage of your money as well as time. If you are always busy and in hurry in getting things done then you don’t know how much you have missed. Being a mother myself I know that how much doing things at a slower pace is important to me. If I was always busy and in a hurry getting things done then I would have never enjoyed my daughter’s cute little things. I would have never enjoyed her childish talk and not to mention about how she started talking. I am a person who enjoys my life to the full extent possible and doing things at a slower pace. Life is too short so I believe that everybody should enjoy his/her life to the full extent possible. So in short I think that I don’t rush to do things. I prefer to take my time and live my life at a slower pace.
