Type of Grad: M.A. Economics, same Uni as undergrad Grad GPA: 4.4/5.0, ranked 7th in cohort. GRE: 790Q, 500V, 4.0 AWA. Second time. Pending: BU What would you have done differently? A lot. besides the obvious (more math, better grades, apply to more safeties), I should have applied earlier. Too much RAship (7 years!) probably hurt my application. I was extremely lucky to get a funded offer.

mmm... my status report just turned into that "We have received all credentials required to process your application. Your file has been forwarded to the Graduate Committee for review". I don't know why it took that long! I guess it will take about 3-4 days for them to decide and notify me about my acceptance :tup:

Sue them! Sue Stanford! Sue them back to the stone age! That emotional distress is worth millions (and a Stanford Econ PhD with no comps, of course)!

I applied about 4 years ago, got an interview, but was rejected. But that rejection saved my life (literally!)

The REAL March Madness began 3 weeks ago... I guess my Final Four will be Austin, MSU, JHU and Maryland. UBC is the underdog.

I wrote both... anyway, is there an on-line status checker for MSU?

They are playing with our feelings... we already accepted and grieved the Duke's rejection, and now this! It's not fair!!
