  1. If you haven't bought them for your FPGEE (I assume you are a foreign graduate) they are sold at www.pharmacyexam.com but they are way too expensive to use just for statistics and pharmacoeconomics. I suggest you buy them from a foreign graduate for a cheaper price or borrow them from one. As for my exam experience, here's the link I wrote at http://www.www.urch.com/forums/naplex/122229-last-minute-advice-please.html If you have any questions please let me know. Good luck! :)

    Need your advise

An average of 1-6 months or more depending on your study rate, available spare time for studying and the period of time since you have graduated. Hope this helps, good luck :)
  3. i guessthe best thing to do is to read the chapters on pharmacoeconomics in cpr and manan shroff management and for statistics read the manan shroff 1000 q&a questions on statistics, study the questions and answers to get an idea about the subject. I think that's more than enough and that's what I did. Good luck! :)
  4. I suggest you study for it the same way you studied for the FPGEE. Don't spend much time on the very specific details like doses and dosage forms. Concentrate on the top 200 brand/generics, maths and the basics like mech. of action, side effects and drug interactions. Also, have a look at the drugs that may not have been mentioned in the CPR eg Miacalcin. Skim the chapters, at one point I was studying 3-4 chapters/ day because I didn't have much time. As long as you know your basics you'll be fine. Good luck and Ramadan Kareem to you too :)
  5. Study it the same way you studied CPR, don't focus too much on the details...I didn't care to study the doses or dosage forms and while reviewing I tried to know the really imporant ones. Study your brand/generics well and maths as well and try to focus on counseling together with the basics: mechanism of action, major side effects & drug interactions. Hope this helps, good luck :)
  6. Thanks Pinky786! Wish you all the best as well, God bless you :)
  7. Actually I took that time off from work :) But thank God I was able to go through with it. By the way I forgot to mention that I also used Manan Shroff calculations for the Maths part.
  8. Thank ItalDoc! wish you all the best as well, start expecting your scores on tuesday :) Thanks pharma0712! The only questions I practiced were the ones at the end of the federal law book (there were about 400 I guess) and the Manan Shroff CD which was a collection of 150 Q&A in both state and federal laws.
  9. Thank God I passed both the NAPLEX and the MPJE! I got 77 on the MPJE, I studied one week for it. I used Federal Pharmacy textbook and review which was good but to tell you the truth I wanted to buy Guide to Federal Pharmacy Law which was out of stock at the time I was studying. I also used Manan Shroff law CD which wasn't really worth the money but it made me realize how important the state laws are. Finally I used one of my senior's state law book which she had already highlighted the important parts. Try to understand the federal law very well and apply it to your specific state law and apply the more stringent laws as usual. For the NAPLEX, I got 97 which was more than I expected given I study quite slow, but given the circumstances I had to study for the NAPLEX in roughly 5 weeks. I used APhA and Appleton and Lange Q&A only. I had recently finished my FPGEE on October 2009 so I was quite familiar with the basic concepts. I had to stress on the brand names because I only had 300 hours of internship so I didn't have much time to know them by experience. I just want to thank everyone here for all their help and a special thanks to ItalDoc and CatalinaB who helped me so much and I really wish them all the best in the MPJE. Please if anyone needs help regarding either test or FPGEE please ask and I'll be glad to help. God bless you all and good luck with your careers :) Keffaz
  10. Hey Cracknaplex I got your PM but your inbox is full. Just try to focus on your state laws, that's the main focus of the exam. The questions could be tricky so read the questions and answer choices well. Two hours is just enough time so pace yourself well and last but not least be confident in yourself and try to have a good night's sleep. Good luck :) Keffaz
  11. Actually I rescheduled my NAPLEX to be on the 10th but thank God I passed the MPJE. I'll talk about both when I get my NAPLEX scores so that I could have a better idea of what to say about them :) Good luck!
  12. Hi Guys! Same question but for NAPLEX this time! If anyone has any tips for the NAPLEX please share them with us. Any help will be gladly appreciated! :) Thanks in advance! Ahmed
  13. Thanks for your wishes...it was a tough one today! A lot harder than what I expected...just hope I pass. Still got 11 days for NAPLEX
  14. Hi Everyone! My WA MPJE is tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone has any last minute advice they'd like to share about the test. Thanks you guys, wish me good luck, still got NAPLEX on August 4th! :)
  15. I'm not 100% sure but I heard it's 900 hours retail and 600 hours hospital. Can anyone confirm this please? :)
  16. Does anyone know if the PRONTOPASS MPJE material is good enough for MPJE? My state law book is over 600 pages and I am NOT willing to read all that! :) Anyway, if anybody tried that material before please tell me what you think, thanks! Keffaz
  17. So guys, a lot of people mentioned that statistics is very important for the exam. Do you know where to study it from? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance :)
  18. Thanks Anxity & Patito! I really appreciate your advice :)
  19. Thanks for your advice hope.faith! I really appreciate it :) Does anyone else have any advice they'd like to give me, please? :)
  20. Hey everybody! Here's the deal: I started my internship at the end of April in Washington and since I've got only 300 hours of internship, next week will be my final week. Unfortunately, I still didn't study for neither the NAPLEX nor the MPJE. My manager said that I must take both tests by mid July. I passed the Fpgee in October 2009. The question is for anyone who has experience with those 2 tests or is actually preparing for those tests: Are 5 weeks enough for preparing for these 2 tests? I'm trying to reasonable and realistic at the same time. I must take both tests at mid July. Next week will be my last week of internship then I'll shift to part-time till the end of June and then I'll take 2 weeks off. I've got APhA only for the NAPLEX and still haven't got anything for MPJE. Also, I was planing on taking the MPJE before the NAPLEX...I know that seems very unorthodox but given the situation I should give a few extra days for the naplex and not vice versa. So, for all the NAPLEX & MPJE gurus out there...I kindly need your advice...what am I supposed to do? Is my plan doable? Should I take this risk? Should I take the exams at a later even though that might cause me a lot of trouble? I am really confused and discouraged right now. Has anyone passed those tests before with only 5 weeks preparation? Thank you so much in advance. Any advice is HIGHLY appreciated. P.S. If you have any specific details on things to skip or focus on during my studies, please share in the same thread so that everyone else could benefit from the information. If you are not comfortable doing that you can just PM me...both ways are terrific, thanks! :)
  21. Yes they changed the title but they are still uploading the results....don't worry please, I was in the same situation when I waiting for my October results...you will all do fine hopefully, Good luck :)
  22. Last October the results were on Friday, October 30th at 5 pm Pacific time (4 central)....earlier that day the same thing happened...it said april 2009 results and when you entered the page it said october 2009 results but I couldn't log in but it was accessible at 4 pm central...just try to calm down...this is by far the most dramatic thread ever :) 12 pages and the results haven't been posted yet! Anyways, I wish you all the best everyone and that everyone passes with great grades! :)
  23. No that means it's from 5-8 Pacific Time which is also NY time
  24. Our results were on Friday, October 30th,,,exactly 30 days after the test....Good luck everyone! :)
  25. I don't mean to disappoint anyone, but I took the test in October 2009 with results on November and I had already passed the toefl before the FPGEE and it took 5 weeks to receive the certificate. I hope you will get it earlier than that though. My advice is to always follow up with the NABP, make sure that they received your TOEFL scores and make sure they are working on it. Good luck everyone! :)
