  1. B and E are out because of ' like that of gold ', A is out as 'less availability and increased demand' not parallel Between C and D , C sounds good, demand in scientific research --- looks correct.
  2. Wat is wrong with E ,, Can some one pls explain ??
  3. IMO E, As explained above .,
  4. IMO E ABC out becoz , it should be present perfect. between D and E , its E-- subjunctive mood,
  5. @sk_gmat, You have a decent score, and you can apply to a decent schools, unless, as kssr said, its Harvard/Wharton, however you never know you might get admissions into these school also if you have very strong application and other stuff. Most of the school consider GMAT score with +/- 30 points. GMAT score is one of the factor to admission to t Good B school, there are other factors also such as Aplication, recommendation letters, interviews etc. Takin up GMAT 3rd time OR not is totally your choice and is left to you. But dont loose heart its a Gr8 score, and can help you to go to you dream school as you also said you have a gr8 profile, it should not be very difficult for you.,, Wish you luck and Wishes,,
  6. Good explanation @KingSing and @samparan_bschool. Even i was a lil confused betn A and E, It clear now , the answer should be E.(IMO).
  7. B, A - considered as, and 'it' have unclear reference C - 'it' doesnot have a clear reference D- gourmet is not omitted, altred meaning E - gourmet delicacy wrongly modifies brown rice.,
  8. A,B, C are out as there are two actions happneing in the past hence a past perfect tense is required, How whereby is introducing a sentence fragment.. ?? @adi_800: i donot know what is a sentence fragment , however in this sentence the Subject on which the action is applied( Congress, in this case) should immediately follow the modifier., , @others feel free to add ur comments , I hope my understanding is correct :)
  9. The parallel construction is : -> to sell the ..... -> take advantage of ......., -> standardize its .... -> and to predict .... All the verb above should be parallel in construction. Hence E is correct IMO ,
  10. Yes , C and D out for like, A is out as milk is not an exapmle of allergies, E is out as, allergies ... for is nt correct, B IMO,
  11. In all the options (except B) 'them' refers to the manufacturers or its unclear. In B it refers to the wings,.. and E is awkward and wordy.. Pls post the explanation also ,
  12. IMO D, A and B are awkward construction, E is out as 'himself' is wrongly used, betweern D and C i choose C , possesive form is 'his' and not 'him' .,, wats the OA and official explanation., ??
  13. A and B out as 'he' doesnot have a clear reference. C and E out as its not parallel construction, D seems to be correct,
  14. Its 'A' the sentence is a subjenctive and therefor the formation should be 'that + infinitive form' : hence 'need that experts explain' is correct IMO,
