  1. Congratulations Lara!!! Good job!!!
  2. Hi!!! You cannot send it by yourself , you should ask them to send your score to NABP (code 9103) but If I were you, I would first pass the test and then only ask them (you should pay for it) to send your score. This is my personal preference, you can do either way. But there is one thing: if someone can't pass the TOEFL from 1-st, 2nd or 3-rd time, it is also good to send the scores to NABP so at least they can see that person is still trying. Good luck!!!
  3. I think you should call them. I took the test on 27th of Feb and got my results on 12 of March. It's really strange that your score is still not available. Try to find out what's the problem. Good luck!
  4. Hi f-pharma2008 : That's what I wanted to do on my 2-nd and last TOEFL exam, I decided to be late for couple minutes so that way I would know at least independent questions. But imagine my surprise when I found out that I am the only one in the test room:))) I scored 24 -S last time but I was sure that I did well, so this time I did the same way but got 28. Just a matter of luck (of course with preparation). I think different test takers give different scores. But it is better to be the only one in the room with no distraction rather than trying to find out the questions by staying behind. I had a feeling that I am taking the test in my own house.Amazing atmosphere!!! Good luck to all. I wish you all get rid of this headache ASAP!!!
  5. I don't remember that Canadians were exempted from taking TOEFL before. As far as I know ALL the foreign pharm graduates should take TOEFL. Even being native American, but foreign graduate doesn't make exemption. Correct me please, if I am wrong.
  6. I read about this yesterday and couldn't stop wondering why NABP can't simply state "WE DON'T NEED FOREIGN PHARMACISTS IN THE US" instead of making our life even more difficult. I hope everyone understands what does this new regulation mean for students who need a visa to come to the US. Before they were forced to have a visa to take the FPGEE, now they will be forced to travel to US at least 3 times to pass the TOEFL. This is just ridiculous. What's going to happen??? A lot of foreign pharmacists will simply give up the hope to become a US licensed pharmacist.
  7. I got my results today!!! I got R-22, L-24,S-28,W-28 I am soooo happyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!! Good luck to all.
  8. That is exactly what I did mean. Thanks estatira!!!
  9. I think that test takers (especially the ones who need the TOEFL score for licensure) shouldn't write why they need it. I am sure that most of the pharmacists will get the scores they need. So my advice to future test takers DO NOT WRITE why you need the TOEFL score. It is better to pay $ 60 (if I am not mistaken) and ask them to send the score to your desired institution, rather than take the test for the umpteenth time. Good luck to all test takers!!!
  10. Hi NewOne!! thanks for your reply. Actually I just sent my docs to ECE and still have no answer and I don't even know should I wait for their response and then only send my docs to NABP or I can do it at the same time. I am not sure that I am ready for April exam, but I hope that I'll get permission for October. Let's see what'll happen. Good luck to your studies and to your paperwork!!!
  11. THANKS A LOT HUSSEIN!!! WONDERFUL LINKS THAT FOR SURE WILL HELP US A LOT. I WISH YOU SUCCESS AND ALL THE BEST!
  12. Hi Faten I think you have to find somebody from your university and ask to get that documents for you. Usually they have no right to decline your request. I am also out of my country and I asked my mom to get that for me. My university prepared everything and even in English. But that's Russia, I used to live there and I know how people (i mean goverment and educational institutions) like to make problems from nothing, instead of helping. What if you send them the requirements from ECE website in form of letter (I sent that requirement list to my mom and she took it to my university), so they can see that you really need them in sealed envelope??? I think you have to find somebody there to help you, like relatives or friends. I am afraid they won't do it by phone or mail. I wish you to solve this problem.
  13. Hi Nata!!! I just read your message and I would like to ask what kind of russian certificate did you mean??? were you talking about the license??? I have a question regarding license , so I will highly appreciate if you could send me any response. I would like to know what kind of affidavit (or evidence, ... ) should I submit if in our country there isn't required to have a license to practice pharmacy. Or maybe they are aware of countries where license doesn't required???

    I Passed

Congratulations Alahmmed!!! I am really happy to know that you passed the test, you were always trying to help others, so you really deserve it. Once again congratulations!!! Is there any advice you can give us??? how to prepare for the test?? which is your priority book for passing the test???
  15. Congratulations Orwa and to everyone who passed the test, It's really nice to hear that it is possible to pass that test. I will really appreciate if you share your experience like what did you study, which parts are most important, and how lond did you prepare for the test , because everybody's little advice can make a huge difference for us, future test takers. God bless you!!!
  16. Hi DD-pharm I was looking for some advice and I thought that you probably can advise me as you received your acceptance letter. Could you please tell me how you applied for the test??? first ECE and then after getting ECE results you sent your docs to NABP or at the same time??? And when should I pay 700$, after submission??? And one more question: is it nessecary to send other docs , for ex. passport copy , birth certificate..???? Thanks in advance.
  17. Hi Alahmmed! As I've been following this forum I know that you are already done with your exam (if I'm not mistaken you took your exam recently, right???). You are giving a lot of good advices. Could you please inform me about the calculations (are they difficult to make without calculators???) and also about the most important chapters. The CPR is so complicated, just don't know how to study and by the way it doesn't follow the FPGEE blueprint. I think that's rather for NAPLEX than FPGEE. Would like to know your opinion. Thanks!
  18. Thanks Pinky! I think I have a lot to do for passing this exam, but anyway I don't loose hope. Thanks again and good luck!
  19. Hi Pinky 786! I will really appreciate if you could give me any advice regarding FPGEE preparation. As you passed already from the first attempt (congratulations) you might know how to prepare and which parts are important for preparation. Some people say CPR is the best, other ones say it's not good enough and it didn't even help. What do you think how deeply you must know every aspect. I heard also that they ask some basics. Just don't know who to believe, it's really confusing. And one more question: which book you used for anatomy section??? Thanks a lot in advance!
  20. Hi OzPharmacist! Thanks for your reply, but your answer scared me. As I go through CPR I see that there are really hard calculations to do, which I think can't be done without calculators. I am sorry did you already passed that exam??? Can you just give me an example how easy are that calculation.???Is there something with log or three-digit calculation (multiplying or dividing)??? thanks
  21. Hi NewOne! Thank you for your reply. I wish you all the best and really hope that we can share our experiences in this forum so it makes a bit easier to pass all this hard way. Don't worry about the work in the US at least now. It's not easy to find a job even if you are already in the US but without work permit. But as long as I ask my friends here, everyone says that jobs like nurses and pharmacists have really high demand. So don't worry , everything will come by time. By the way did you get already permission for June 2009???
  22. Hi everybody!!!! I just wanna know your opinion regarding CPR. I bought that book (6-th edition) but don't know if it's enough for preparation. CPR doesn't contain anatomy prep. material, the ones I saw at the blueprint. Does anybody know does it worth to start???? thanks
  23. Dear Test takes!!! Does anybody know wether they allow to take calculators to the exam hall??? Thanks in advance!
  24. Privet NewOne, spasibo za obyasnenie. I just want to know whether your classmate passed already??? I can't get really what exactly has to be sent to ECE and FPGEE. I sent an e-mail regarding docs and they replied as usual, with attached pdf document where they ask: The following documentation requirements were established by the NABP FPGEC and therefore are required by ECE for evaluation. Both ECE and NABP require a complete set of documents, so you should request at least two official sets of original documents. In many cases ECE will contact the educational institution(s) that you attended to verify the authenticity of the documents submitted for evaluation. Please note that this verification process may result in substantial delays in the processing of your application. * Official Transcript(s) [issued in sealed envelope] An official transcript (grade report), detailing courses and grades, from your college, university, or pharmacy school is required. [Note: if a translation of this document is required, you should request three official transcripts. You can use one transcript to obtain an English translation. The other two transcripts must remain unopened in the original sealed envelope.] The pharmacy program must have required at least four years of full-time study. If additional coursework was required for graduation (for example, pre-pharmacy coursework), then official transcripts for these courses and grades are also required. Each transcript must be signed and sealed by a school official. * Proof of Degree [issued in sealed envelope] Official proof of degree or qualification from a pharmacy school indicating the title of the degree or qualification and the dates of issuance is required. [Note: if a translation of this document is required, you should request three proofs of degree. You can use one proof to obtain an English translation. The other two proofs must remain unopened in the original sealed envelope.] The pharmacy degree or qualification you received must be the professional degree that leads to licensure or registration or other form of legal permission to practice pharmacy. Each proof of degree must be signed and sealed by a school official. *Photocopy of your pharmacy degree that was issued upon graduation. [This photocopy does not need to be issued in a sealed envelope.] How can you understand this article, at least 2 original diplomas and 2 original transcripts??? what are they doing with so many copies , building a house or boosting their economy??? This all stuff makes me nuts already:mad: Could you please explain me what does Official proof of degree or qualification from a pharmacy school mean??? Isn't that a diploma??? or is it a letter (as your classmate said) from a university indicating the years I studied and my title??? I will highly appreciate your response. Thanks!
  25. Hi Fadoua! thanks a lot for your explanations. I'll try to contact my university, but i really don't understand why are they making this process so complicated. Can't they just check from university whether the docs are real or not??? Or they could at least ask for notarized copy, which also means that the doc is real. Of course in case they have any doubts. I think they just want less people to pass this process:p.
