Thank you for responding. For 1st staement,my confusion is : n^2 is an integer,so in case of 2,n would be approx = 1.4 but for n=1.4,n^2 would be 1.4*1.4, which would be greater than 2 and not an integer? am i missing something here? shouldn't (1.4)^2 return 2 since 1.4 is sqrt(2) Thanks

If I understood it correctly, what 800Bob meant that since sqrt(x^2) could result into x,-x but for GMAT "sqrt" is not ambiguous,if x is +ve,sqrt(x^2) will only return x.

Hello All, I need some advice on GMAT Preparation course. I am planning to take GMAT by end of May. I started preparation last week and just finished with Kaplan GMAT 2005.I realized that I need help to move forward. Since I am not a native English speaker, my verbal is pretty bad, scored almost 0L. Math is still ok but needs a lot of work. So I started looking for GMAT prep courses. After some research, I short listed these 2 institutes, please advice if any of these courses would be worth it and which one is better 1) Manhattan GMAT - classes start in a week 2) 70GMAT – www.790gmat.com . This guy ia a private instructor and heard some reviews about him. Any recommendation? If you recommend any other institute, please feel free to add in here. I would really appreciate any feedback.
