I am not sure... but some business schools require 80 percentile for both verbal and quantitative sections... Your verbal score is a bit low... It would have been better if you had scored something like q45 v40.... An excellent score , anyways... Good luck...

ManhattanCAT1 : 680 q48 v35... I tried two tests from Kaplan before and scored 550 and 570... I am not sure which results are more accurate... In any case, my target score is 700 and I still need to work a lot especially on verbal...

Well, this question is taken from Manhattan CAT and their answer is C... claiming that information on fixed cost is needed. I hope, in real gmat, we don't have ambiguous questions like this.

The total cost of producing item X is equal to the sum of item X's fixed cost and variable cost. If the variable cost of producing X decreased by 5% in January, by what percent did the total cost of producing item X change in January? (1) The fixed cost of producing item X increased by 13% in January. (2) Before the changes in January, the fixed cost of producing item X was 5 times the variable cost of producing item X. My question is: If change in fixed cost in not mentioned, should we assume it to be unchanged or not ?

"amount of fines" and "number of fines" are both grammatically correct here. But logically, amount of fines seems more appropriate... The question is not CR so I am not sure if we should be using our reasoning is SC questions...
