CalmLogic, shall I report my score to the above schools (and spend the money for this) ? I am not able to decide whether this score is going to help me in anyway or not. If its going to harm my chances, then I will not report. But if its going to help my chances of admit, I will consider reporting.

Hi, As usual I screwed up subject GRE CS, got 710 : scaled score and 46 %ile. Shall I report my scores to my universities? I too wrote it in Bangalore, but from what I saw, there were around 100 people writing it for CS. You are getting 35 marks or 35 %ile?

All the best for the people writing the Test tomorrow. Hope we all do well. People writing the test in India need to bring their passports.

I do not understand the basics behind the questions relating to finding the subnet mask questions. It will really nice if somebody can explain how to approach such types of questions. For ex: This question is from CalmLogic notes: An organization has a class B network and wishes to form subnets for 64 departments. The subnet mask would be A) 255.255.0.0 B) 255.255.64.0 C) 255.255.128.0 D) 255.255.252.0 How to solve these kinds of questions? Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

Thanks dhruvbird for your wiki and notes. But I was looking for more specific of the exam experiences of the people who went through oct exam and before that. I would request CalmLogic and others to share more information on the specific questions topics which we tend to neglect. Also we can jot all the information and experiences in a shared doc as they cannot be discussed here in public .

It would be really helpful if those who have appeared for the test recently can update the question topics in a shared google doc. I am not specifically asking for the questions as this is not legal but question topics and pointers will be really helpful for those preparing for the Nov exam.

I think the best and quick way will be to just try to find out the wrong options. You can do that : (ab)* and a*b*: 2nd regex can produce aabbb but the first one cant . So this is a wrong option. All other options seem to produce the same strings.

I found out a book in amazon : ARCO GRE computer science , but no reviews there. Any body ever heard or tried this book ?

Ya, NCSU is a good backup, thanks. These online courses seem too costly. I give up. I am looking out for other things which can make up my profile a little. Perhaps open source is the only way left out.
