Hi,
I am applying to CS PhD for 2011.
Please go through my profile and let me know what chances I stand for PhD and which universities you people I may have a chance.
I have not given GRE right now.
Engineering In computer Science (BS in CS) +MBA (Information Technology)
1) CGPA undergrad (8.2/10)
2) PG (MBA) 7.9/10
3) One International publication in IEEE on networks more than 2 years before
4) Unix System administrator at an organization
5) Reco from good institute profs. (Proffs are PhD from US universities)
I had undergrad courses in
discrete math, algorithms and data structures, operating systems, computer architecture/organization, networks,Databases, engineering maths
Should I take up a subject GRE exam as well ?
Will it (Subject GRE Computer Science ) boost my application?
If some one wants to suggest on basis of GRE score
assume a score for General GRE test if lands between 1300-1400 and evaluate.
I am not from a very well known institution and the MBA course was a dual degree course for 2 semesters out of 10 semesters of Computer Science course.
I had cleared GATE 3 years before should I mention that in my application also I am very good at Unix will that any how help.
