Hello All, I would like to get some admission info about the University of Kansas. I want to apply to the MS Computer Science Program. Can anyone provide me some statistics about the recent GRE score and recent profile that has been accepted. Also would like to know about the funding scenario there. Thanks in advance

Hello All, I am planning to apply to some more university in Fall 2011 for the program MS Computer Science. I have already applied and got admission from University of New Mexico. Arizona State University and in Auburn University for the term Spring 2011. Though I have deferred my admission to Fall 2011 in all of them. My Profile: GRE: 1290 (Q 720, V 570) Toefl: 90 Undergraduate CGPA: 3.23 (3.6+ for the major Subjects and in Last 2 years) Undergraduate Major: Computer Science. Work Experience: 4.5 years of Industry experience as a Software Engineer in Java/J2EE platform Now i want to apply to another two university. Please help me select from the below List. If anyone have any Idea on the funding scenario (Initial funding or any kind of internship program offers for the continuing student) for the following colleges please comment. Hello Guys, I have got admission from three universities. University of New Mexico, Arizona State University and from Auburn University. I have accepted into the MS program in Computer Science for the term Spring 2011. From Auburn one professor hired me as a Graduate Research Assistant. But there is no funding offered from the other two university. I would have loved to be in the Arizona State University. But seems like they wont provide support for the incoming MS students. I would like u guys to help me on few things. What would be the possibility for me to secure any kind of financial help at ASU after a semester or a year? I know they have a EIP program and seems like its not hard to get (please correct me If I am wrong). How it would be If I take the offer from Auburn, In terms of job placement after the graduation. If anyone know anything about Auburn Computer Science department please let me know. How about UNM. The bottom line is I need financial help even if it is after a semester or a year. So please guide me what would be my best option and where I can possibly join. Thanks everyone.

Hello everyone, This is my second post in this forum. First time i posted here back in 2008 when i was distraught to have my GRE score it was 1020. So wanted to have inspiration from this forum. Anyway, today i sat for the exam again and i got Q720 and V570, i am content with that although the quantitative score is way below than my likings. But i am decided to live with that. I would like to get some help from u guys out there to help decide me choose some universities. Before i ask your help and list my sorted list of UNI that i have come across so far, i wanted to give some more info about my background. I am a student from Bangladesh. Done my B.S.C from AIUB in computer science back in 2006. My overall CGPA is 3.23 but my last 2 years GPA and mainly in major courses are above 3.5. I have worked on Cluster computing and in Distributed Computing in my final year thesis. I have published one paper based on my research work in an International Journal. I have already mentioned about my GRE score and concerning TOEFL my score in 99. My work experience is almost 4 and half years mainly in software industries and people at my work are willing to write good response about my professional career. My Sorted List: University of New Mexico University of Alabama at Birmingham University of Texas at arlington Arizona State University University of Colorado at Boulder University of Texas at San Antonio I am planning to apply for the 2011 Spring semester and inclined towards MS rather than PHD. I am also hoping to have some fund (though i know its difficult to have fund in Spring. If it is the case i want to know how hard it is). Should i wait and apply for Fall to have fund? Should i take the GRE again to have a better quantitative score (though it would be hard for me to sit for the third time)? Anyone willing to suggest anything will be appreciable. Even if you want to pass a comment. Please suggest some university for a better prospect. Thanks all for keeping patience to read this verbose post.
