  4. . At a loading dock, each worker on the night crew loaded 3/4 as many boxes as each worker on the day crew. If the night crew has 4/5 as many workers as the day crew, what fraction of all the boxes loaded by the two crews did the day crew load? (A) 1/2 (B) 2/5 © 3/5 (D) 4/5 (E) 5/8 These questions provide help from the fig./fractions posited in the query itself...Simply, try to differentiate the numerator and denominator values into the entities mentioned in the ques. like Day crew - 5 (workers) & 3 (boxes loaded), and similarly, allot remaining values to the night workers. This strategy do works very often and can pull out from any stringent situation....
  5. E is the right answer.....Nevertheless, Brent explicated on a first-rate category ....Thanks (Brent), for that insight !!!
  6. What is the greatest prime factor of 2^100 - 2 ^ 96? A. 2 B. 3 C. 5 D. 7 E. 11 Sometimes these type of questions feels like intriguing. However, closer analysis makes it very easy. Anyways, good question mate !!!!

  11. First, I really want to appreciate Urch Forum Moderators for their perseverance and diligence in creating such a versatile forum that can help students (like Me) on the breadth of queries like GRE/TOEFL/Admissions . After getting tremendous help from studying GRE Sub forums (including Verbal / Quant sections), I was able to provoke hidden confidence within me, in order to get best out of me. Questions posted and answered, presented a marvelous student interface, towards evaluating one's potentialities. Cheers to Urch !!!!!! [clap][clap][clap]. On 17th Dec. I received First admit from Upenn for MS Biotech. , cherished that moment a lot. Then, I attended interview session with Northwestern University Director. Today, on 10th Jan. 15. Again Consider the meaning of Reactionary - ultraconservative ( this indicate about degree !) ;Resistant to change. Now look for the word which might be either synonym or antonym ( according to query ), According to you Conservative must be the Answer but the relationship is about increase in degree ( or A Reactionary consists of higher degree of conservatism ) , this generally helpful in the questions like Analogies ( and Yes ETS GRE focuses on the perfect Antonyms not the Vertical Degree Relationship , in case of antonym ) ...... Then come to the word Retrograde -Retreat ; Recede ; or simply withdraw . This can be the Antonym..... Hope this will Help You !!!!!!
  16. First consider the meaning of Quixotic - Not sensible about practical matters; unrealistic . And if you look into the options then you will find Idealistic (Of high moral or intellectual value; elevated in nature or style )to be the perfect Antonym Now , if you look the option Exotic which means - Strikingly strange or unusual ; As , the root word is stressing on something which is considered to be Impractical or Meshugga , then you cannot relate the meaning of Quixotic with something unusual or strange ( is unusual cannot be practical ?? ) Hope this will help you !!!
  17. Actually these kind of Quests. are asked in QC part of GRE They just give you a figure ( as similar to above ) , and then they ask whether , Col A Area of Parallelogram Col B 80 ( Rectangular fig. can only have this value ) SO, with this assertion ,we can predict that parallelogram might have value OR , If this question asked in Problem Solving part , then some information is lacking !!!!

  23. Before , coming to the relationship as mentioned in Peeved and Annoy , just look up the choice that represent Degree relationship (According to the quest. Saturated means extreme wet) , And if there is no other option besides the above mentioned choices , then look at the part of speech , which easily fit into the above mentioned Stem and the choice , i.e. - Saturated : Wet :: Peeved : annoy (Adj.)
