  1. Notinal: Yes, I misunderstood what you said earlier and I apologize. I thought the CEU PharmD and it's Clinical Pharmacy program are the same thing. Does taking the PharmD make you eligible to sit for the FP? Or do you have to take up CP in order for that to happen? And I was not comparing either since I am not in a position to do so. http://www.www.urch.com/forums/images/icons/icon7.png
  2. Notinal: PharmD in CEU actually came AFTER Clinical Pharmacy courses in UIC in Davao and USC in Cebu. As far as I'm concerned, UIC started it all in 2006 (I think). They even had students from UP! nfabo: I 111% agree with whatever you said! I am a living proof of that experience! 90% of our batch enrolled just for the sake of having a 5th year in our transcripts so we'd be eligible for the FPGEE. Tuition was cheaper then (they're taking advantage of their enrollees now that's why they're charging you more! JK. JK. JK.) We did our 1st semester online and classroom setting/online for the 2nd (I only went to class probably 8 times? I got tired doing the internship!). The 1st month in Davao was really tough. I could possibly say all the worst things about that school and it's system. (Especially the system!) After I've adjusted, those 3 remaining months were probably 3 of the best months I've ever lived! But hey, I got what I wanted (I'm now a FPGEC) and I'm really happy!
  3. UIC in Davao is the best way to go. It's almost like a free ride to a 5 year curriculum! It only takes a year, internship included. Right now I think they're screening everyone who goes into this 5th year. I don't think you necessarily have to be licensed to enroll with this course.
  4. So the new rules only apply to those who have not taken the TOEFL yet, am I right? This doesn't apply if you've already gotten your certificate, correct?

  6. To those of you who are from the Philippines and would do anything to be able to sit for the FP, there's no need to take a 2 year pharm D program. USC in Cebu & UIC in Davao are offering a 1 year Clinical Pharmacy program. After graduating and processing your papers, you will then be eligible for the FPGEE. I'm a living proof. :)
  7. Took the exam last year and based on experience and what I've heard, I have to say, part 2 of the exam must have always been about management. i'd say 75% of it was all about management! one of the 2 topics that I didn't focus on! (The other is pharmacoeconomics. haha!) All in all, part 2 was a pain in the arse.
  8. Does this rule apply if you have your certificate already? I'm confused. "Candidates who do not complete the FPGEC Certification Program within the five-year period will be required to retake the FPGEE if they wish to pursue FPGEC certification." - does this mean we have to finish the internship within 5 years as well or does this new rule apply only to those who haven't taken the TOEFL yet? Here's the other one from the bulletin: "Candidates who do not complete the FPGEC Certification process before their FPGEE score expires will be required to retake the FPGEE if they wish to pursue certification in the future. The five-year validity period of an FPGEE score applies to current candidates who have already passed the FPGEE but have not obtained their FPGEC Certificate. Can't say I blame them for changing the rules.
  9. ah.... same problem here. my certificate is hiding in my drawer. it looks bored, actually. so, let me know if you guys have any information regarding this. thanks.
  10. boo. i didn't know that. but i actually called nabp last april and asked them about that. (i must say, their customer service isn't really customer friendly,is it?. does anybody agree with me?) anyway, yeah, i called about the toefl and they told me that you have to finish the toefl before june 30. however i forgot to ask about the last day to sit for the exam outside the usa. of course i panicked and i scheduled mine on the 2nd week of may. i scheduled it 3 weeks before taking the fp. results were actually released 14-15 days ONLY. not 3 weeks. i was not able to review anything for toefl as i was very preoccupied with the fpgee, but thank goodness i passed the toefl! i am very happy with my scores. they're not 3 digit numbers, but still, i passed and that's what counts, right? :D if i were to suggest anything, just watch a lot of tv.
  11. hello! Yes I'm from cebu :) Are you a Filipino too?
