  1. I am not much aware of top MBA programs but I know that you can try for Harvard, University of Chicago, UCLA - Anderson or Haas. although, many say that it is better to apply in R1, I personally don't find it bad to apply in R2. Go ahead and and apply!!! Good Luck.
  2. your profile is definitely above average. I would suggest looking at top schools in US What is your area of interest? is it MBA?
  3. Can I make it to Baruch college/CUNY? My GMAT got bombed and I got just 490(39Q,20V,5.5AWA)I want to apply to the Baruch's marketing of Computer Information systems Master's program. Rest of my profile is as per baruch's expectation.. Baruch's 80% of admitted students have GMAT of 510-650 range Can anyone help me? Please. I don't have any other school offering my program of interest in my area.
  4. so,what is your question? Do you want to know whether you have to give GRE or GMAT? If it is CS then definitely GRE; other courses such as Master's in management etc will need GMAT.
  5. Gave my real GMAT test a couple of days back and landed an unexpected 490:(. I was expecting a 550 though. I had given 7-8 practise tests including that from mba.com. I'm applying to a school whose 80% GMAT range is 510-650. Do you think I can make it with decent essays?
  6. Like Shweta has mentioned, your score is pretty good for each of these schools. Just write a good SOP to supplement it Good Luck
  7. Hi , I need to get an evaluation done for my bachelor's degree. My questions are: 1.which agency is better - ECE or WES 2. I do not have original mark sheets/attested by registrar. I just have the photocopies of marksheets and my official transcript in sealed envelope, Will this do? Please help me
  8. Does any one have a link or method by which I can estimate my total approx GMAT score, from the 2 individual Verbal and Quant scores?
  9. I actually just bought the Manhattan SC and CR guide. Both books look very useful!!! I also have Kaplan Math work book( I have finished more than half of it). Now, I only need to solve all the problems on the verbal OG.
  10. Thank you, score for the post. Since my scores are below average , I think I do have enough oppurtunity to improve, isn't it?. I am going to solve OG again. But, also plan to do some more practice problems in quant and verbal from Kaplan. Do you think this should be enough? another question that I had is how are the accuracy of Princeton review CATs? I took one this morning and got a terrible 450!! I think I am doomed :-(
  11. Well,I definitely have the time as I have taken 2 months off from work and my target score is 550-600. I really don't knw what to do to improve the score although I find all topics in both quant and verbal fairly ok
  12. That was a very informative post. Thank You. I do agree that OG is very important book. However, like you have mentioned, all concepts are not given clearly in the OG and this requires us to refer to other books like kaplan and Princeton. Manhattan verbal book is good too as it has a lot of practise problems. I have one question though: I took a gMAT prep test (software that comes with mba.com) and got a 470.I know I am seriosuly stumped, but was wondering how accurate this scores could be on the real test day considering that I have 3 more weeks to go?
  13. I got 470 in a practice GMAT test. This is the software provided by MBA.com I have still one month go....will get just 470 on my final test or do the scores change on the final day?
  14. How is Baruch and Brooklyn College for graduate admissions? Is it hard to get in to Baruch for Computer information systems program?
  15. Generally, most univ's do allow you to apply for 2 different courses. But, you will be required to applications separately for both the courses(separate fees, separate documents) Also, do call the admissions office of your target univ and check if they are ok with applying to two programs.
  16. Okay, I am applying to Grad school and need to take GMAT. The everage GMAT for my target schools is 550-600. I am trying for a 650. I have gone through the basics in 2 weeks and now I have just 3 weeks left for my test. I have not yet taken any sample tests. I'd like to know if the next 3 weeks are going to be enough for me to score a 600+
