  1. Fellows!!! I don't know about pxprep, but having read so many reviews from this forum and my personal experience, APHA is highly recommended. Read my post on how I studied, you may find it helpful. I am foreign trained and left school 6 years ago. So if i can pass NAPLEX, anyone in this forum can. Nice name praisebetoJesus and good luck to you all.
  2. Thank you all. I pray for your successes . HappyPill4u your mailbox is full. durgae I will recommend you know the doses of common medications. uz Some people Crashed the exam in few weeks or even days and pass, but from my experience I will not recommend that . The most reliable way to pass naplex is to read, read and when tired, read some more. I will be glad to answer any question . God's grace to you all. trustGod (with a capital G please)
  3. Hello colleagues !! I have been meaning to write this but have been tied up with job hunt. I passed naplex after 12 weeks of serious study and this was my study plan ; 1. I got a serious study partner ( Thanks a lot Annaph) and we read 2 chapters of APHA every day . 2. Focused on one book and one reference ( I used APHA 7th Edition which I read 3 times and read all OTC topics in CPR ) 3. made summary note of all topics in APHA , which helped greatly with memory 4. saved pictures of any drug that interested me in a folder and play them at free times (Because I have little retail experience) 5. I Practiced all cases and questions at the end of each APHA chapter 6. made cards of current top 200 drugs(from rxlist) and any one that interested me. 7.practiced chasenaplex questions ( i highly recommend this) 8.used prontopass for maths and wikipedia for statistics 9. did prenaplex with a score of 99 10 got 104 in Naplex (I left the exam with mixed feeling ) Naplex is not an easy one, but with hard work and God, you will make it. While studying, I read this book " commanding your morning by cindy Trimm " and honestly it gave me all motivation and serenity I needed for my studies. Good luck everyone and God's grace.
  4. You have a lot of time durgae. I recommend Prontopass. you can get it on their website. it covers almost all areas of the calculation. Good luck
  5. Quite surprised, but possible !!! the only other thing that may change this answer in my opinion will be using dextrose solution that has 3.4kcal instead of the dextrose powder that is 4kcal like your question stated. If this be the case, then the answer will be 102g. so check the question again for the type of dextrose used and please what is the answer and the source of the question?
  6. Rx Amino Acid (protein) 27g * 4kcal =108 kcal Dextrose ( anhydrous) 140g*4kcal=560kcal Fat ? Total calories =1500kcal Calories from Fat= 1500 - 108(AA)+560(D) =832kcal . but Fat has 9kcal in 1g. therefore weight of fat will be 832kcal/9=~92g. Q.E.D. hope am right.
  7. nice advice suhana..Congratulation. Please is there any disease state that is not in APHA that was asked? thanks
  8. I am planning to take NAPLEX In 3.5 weeks and I tried the Chasenaplex and got 53% . I am also planning to try prenaplex in 2 weeks. Please can someone help me with some correlation. Should I postpone my exam. Truthfully, the chasenaplex was quite tough. Thanks
  9. In statistics , 1 SD is equivalent to ~68% and 2 SD is ~97%. so If one standard deviation is 5, it means that ~68% of the values fall withing that bracket (10+ and - 5). from the options, the answer will be 70% because it is the closet value. There is basically no need for calculation. hope it helps
