1. Can anyone tell me if it would be a good idea to supplement my application by taking an online calculus course? There are no in-classroom courses in the evening (I work full time) in my area.

PP Problem

Please help.
3. price * quantity sold = dollars so p*q of sodas + p*q of hot dogs = d dollar .... to convert dollars to cents ($2 = 200 cents...we multiply by 100) so p*q (sodas) + p*q (hot dogs) = 100d Hot dogs are priced twice as much as sodas so.. p*s + 2p*h = 100d factor out a p p(s+2h) = 100d divide both sides by (s+2h) gives you p = 100d/(s+2h)
4. If the field was narrowed down to fewer than 7 applicants, then more than (27-7=20) 20 applicants were eliminated. If fewer than 23 applicants were eliminated, then X must be 20
5. thank for the replies. I guess where I went astray is that I didn't think you could determine that triangle ACD formed a perfect 45-45-90, and that D - you couldn't tell. For example if you slid the triangle down CD, you could make it smaller than 5/2x ... all this images are not drawn to scale talk must have me paranoid

7. I just looked at the hard statistics ? .. but I got one as my answer... since all others do not HAVE to have a -2 in their sum.. for example V could have one person give it a 2 and the rest give it a 0... no -2 necessary... only P needs a -2 since -1 * 30 people = -30.. so someone needed to get a -2 to get the sum up to -33.
8. order of operations ... 2 - 2 x 2 = -2 because you must multiply the last twos before you can subtract them ... 2 - (2x2) = -2 PEMDAS - Parenth, exp, mult/div, add/sub
9. ahhhhh i keep making simple calculation errors during the practice exam
10. Talk show host Ralph Blowhard has exactly one guest on his show each day, and Blowhard’s show airs every Monday through Friday. Blowhard always schedules politicians on Mondays and Wednesdays, Actors on Tuesdays and Athletes on Thursdays, but can have a guest of any one of these three kinds on Friday. No guest appears more than once per week on Blowhard’s show. If Blowhard has five politicians, three actors and six athletes he could invite, and if no politician is also an actor or an athlete and no actor is also an athlete, how many different schedules of guests from Monday to Friday could Blowhard create? a) 30 b) 1200 c) 3600 d) 4500 e) 6300 oa:

A) $12,000,000 B) $9,400,000 C) $2,500,000 D) $250,000 E) $38,000 OA: I was running out of time and basically guessed. However when I work back through it I get a number much less than the answer. Please help. Thanks.
