  1. I guess this change took place before sep 27, because there was so much emphasis on management and practice in the second part of the exam
  2. you're right guys...there were lots of questions about management and statistics, and unfortunately very few on pharmaceutical calculations. Anyway I think I will pass cuz I was somehow lucky in the guessing game. @ Riham: there's a logarithm used to calculate your score so that it does not reflect merely the number of questions you answered correctly. obviously the more correct answers you have, the higher score you get, but remember there's a significant percentage of questions that don't count toward calculating your score; they're meant to test their level of difficulty so that they can be included in the exam in the future....good luck
  3. well I've been in this situation before... first u need to collect ur pharmacy certificate, transcripts, registration at the syrian syndicate of pharmacists, and permanent license from the ministry of health..and have them all translated plus u need to have ur photo and passport authenticated by a notary public (or the US embassy if ur in syria) then u can send them to ECE and NABP along with the application and money order (or certified check) good luck to u all

    missing documents

hi everybody, I'm a pharmacy graduate from Syria. I applied for FPGEC in December; I sent them all the required documents (license, registration, application form, etc) in one package. According to US postal service, the package was delivered in December 09. However, I just received a letter from NABP that says they still await my application and license. How could that be possible? When I called them I was asked to fax a letter explaining the case, and that's what I did. They told me to allow 4 weeks for a response from FPGEC. I'm lost; I don't know what to do....do I have to start all over again? is there any hope they might find the missing documents? Has anybody here been in the same situation? Is it a common problem? How is it usually solved? thanks

    H1B lottery

if u take the exam in April, u don't have to wait; u can petition for H1B as soon as u get the certificate because they will keep accepting petitions until they reach the 65000 cap (not before October)......... but if u take the test in September, you will receive the certificate in November, and the odds are great that they will have reached the cap by then, so u may have to wait for April 2012 to petition for H1b..

    H1B lottery

don't worry Dr Omega, no lottery will take place because the system is like that: each year they issue 65000 H1B visas. They start accepting applications for H1B on April 1 and once they reach that quota, they stop. As far as I know they had to do the lottery thing only once (2007 or 2008) when they received 130000 applications on the first day, so they had to pick 65000 out of this pool of applications. however, the last couple of years have been different: due to bad economy, very few people are getting hired, so the demand for H1B visa is much less than any time before. This year, they haven't reached the 65000 cut yet; it is projected that they will reach it by the end of the year. that's why Im telling you not to worry because things won't be much different next year.....good luck
  8. ok then it's gotta be desmopressin...i thought that dicyclomine as an anticholinergic could do the job...but obviously i was wrong BTW George, if you're planning on submitting the application and collecting the required documents in Syria, we can help each other cuz I'm almost done with that... gd luck
  9. hi guys I'm new here....I would say it the answer is dicyclomine right George?
