  1. Depends firstly on your major! Secondly on the school you aim to get in. For the ivies probably a 4.5 and higher might be necessary.
  2. To get funding from day one with your profile, nowadays, seems a little difficult... Maybe some very low ranked universities will fund you but I am not sure. If you really want this gather some money pay for the first year and work your b@tt off to gain the financial support you need.
  3. As far as I know the main, and probably the only, difference is that for spring admission the opportunities for financial aid are less. Good luck! PS. I have applied for MSc/PhD in EE Spring 2012
  4. Depends on your field of interest. In my field (engineering) youl have a problem if you aim for the ivies but generally I have seen people get into very good schools with AW scores as low as 3.0 and 3.5
  5. Try kaplan book with cd (3 CATs)+ online tests (3 more CATs). The online material is way better. Avoid Princeton Rev. the 4 online tests are too easy and their server is veryyyy slooooowww..... ;-) Barron's book with cd (2 tests) is good too. Take them as many times as you can (randomly) until you master them!
  6. @roch Thank you! Good luck with the test! @needyourhelp For the argument check the ETSpool, it’s the one with "promofoods". The issue... it’s kinda hard to believe but I am not sure! LOL Probably the stress got me!
  7. I will be very brief (becauseI am kind of of tired... ) For Verbal: Begin a couple of months,before the test, and practice the 50 Barron’s lists. I found a very helpfulsite: http://quizlet.com/subject/barron's/ (I used to work with 30words per test & no "written" questions as I didn't find themhelpful) Take 1 to 2 lists per dayand repeat them as much as you can, until you master them. MUST review a week’s work every Sunday!A 15days work every second Sunday! You must be able torecognize instantly the following: http://quizlet.com/300134/kaplan-gre-flash-cards/ http://quizlet.com/747827/gre-barrons-most-frequent-flash-cards/ For Quant: Start with Novas andcontinue to Barron's. Start taking timed papertests. After paper tests gather asmany CAT tests as you can, take them in random order until you master them.Periodically take the following test to review Barron’s Words: http://quizlet.com/465202/barrons-gre-4814-words-flash-cards/ For AW: Write at least 6 issues and 6 arguments. I used Analytical Writing Preparation 1.73 (freeware). http://sites.google.com/site/gredataonline/analytical-writing
  8. Verbal/Quant Kaplan 1: 420/780 Kaplan 2: 530/710 Kaplan 3 (online): 650/720 Kaplan 4 (online): 650/730 Kaplan 5 (online): 630/710 Cambridge 1: 680/710 Cambridge 2: 600/730 Cambridge 3: 680/730 Cambridge 4: 630/730 Cambridge 5: 650/730 PowerPrep 1: 520/790 PowerPrep 2: 460/760 Barron's 2: 590/720 Barron's 1: 630/700 Real GRE: 630/770 :tup: PS. The tests were taken about 3 times each. PS1. Princeton Rev. Online tests suck!
  9. r=-s col a: (-s+s)/-s = 0 col b: rs= -(s^2) , now because s was a denominator cannot be 0. So rs col a > col b

    Equation

    If x=3 is a root of the equation then just replace x with 3! 3^2 + 3k = 6 => 3k=6-9 => k=-1
  11. Anybody??? Well I decided to study the wordlists intensively while taking once a while a practise test to measure my progress.
  12. Hey guys got two questions (if this thread is still active). The scores that you report here are achieved at your 1st attempt? What if you score poorly, you retake the test after you review your mistakes or you study more practise exercises and then retake it?
  13. Should I finish learning all, or at least most of the flashcards (ie 3500 barron's wordlist) before pactising with sample tests? Any advice? :hmm:
