Solution: male patient first calculate the IBW: IBW = 50 + (2.3 x 11) IBW of the patient is: 75.3 kg check for the formula in computing for IBW in males and females then calculate the CrCl: CrCl = 140 - age * weight of the patient divided by 72 * Serum creatinine = 140 - 62 * 75.3 kg / 72 * 1.4 = 5873.4 / 100.8 CrCl of the patient is: 58.2 the serum creatinine was given in the problem - BUN/ Scr 140 and 72 are constant numbers in computing the CrCl

Hi Michael, Your essay is good but you need to consider the following: First, try to state your answer in a paraphrase sentence then give three reasons as your introduction paragraph. Also, don't forget to use transitions like, "first of all or first (in second body paragraph), secondly (for third body paragrah), third (for fourth body paragraph), and for the last paragraph, you can say, "Therefore" or to conclude.
