  1. Hello, Thank you so much for taking the time to read my essay and expressing your opinions. Thanks.
  2. Hi I felt Kaplan was much easier than the actual test. Power prep, barrons and princeton are closer to the quants test. But verbal I felt was way too harder than all the books. I scored much less than I did on all the tests.
  3. Hi. This essay would receive a 3.5 I feel. First the essay is too short, I think you should aim for at least 400 words. You will have to concentrate on finding stronger examples. And the sentence structures and vocabulary used are very basic ones. You should try to improve that maybe with more reading. I am facing the same problem in my preparation and am reading articles from The Economist to correct this issue. I am sure you can improve more by reading more articles and researching a bit more for stronger examples. All the best. :)
  4. Thanks in advance for helping me out. Governments should offer a free university education to any student who has been admitted to a university but who cannot afford the tuition. Write a response in which you discuss your views on the policy and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider the possible consequences of implementing the policy and explain how these consequences shape your position. The policy of Government providing free education to all the students enrolled in a university, who cannot afford the tuition is not a wise one. Rather, the Government funding should be used to aid deserving students, with potential, and the rest allotted to improving facilities. Though this policy looks very alluring at first, its consequences would eventually affect the student community as well The criteria for providing free education should not be based on the student’s financial stability alone. First of all, a free education option will bring about an indolence in students if they are not able to handle the course, as well as they expected. A zero financial liability is indeed a great opportunity for everyone to procure a degree. At the same time, it gives them an easier option to back out if they change their mind later on. If a lot of students drop out, then the Government funding spent on them will become futile. The better option would be to set a criteria for enrolled students to become eligible for free education. Most prestigious universities do follow this method; they use the admission essays and the student’s educational background, apart from the basic criteria to determine eligible students. Only the eligible students are provided free education and these students in turn feed the university’s rank in the form of research. Moreover, when universities provide free education to all, the university is spending most of the funding received on students. Instead, if the funding, can be allotted for improvement of the university’s various facilities like library, laboratory, and also options for extra curricular activities. The consequence of this policy will be that a lot of students who receive menial education. What is the purpose of providing free education, which does not provide students with all the facilities that is needed to have a complete education? More options for extra curricular activities will give them a salubrious mind and body. Students would benefit with improved facilities, and more students will be able to do research in better and more advanced fields. This in turn aids the growth of university and the cycle continues. This way the university can cater to all the needs of the students. However, there indeed might be a lot of students who get admission to the college, but are not financially stable enough to afford the tuition, and also are not eligible for a complete fee waiver. Universities should consider providing them a financial aid, which would make the condition less burdensome for them. This would be ideal for both the students and the university. Thus, in conclusion Government funding for free education should be provided to eligible students only, and not every candidate enrolled. However, a financial aid can be provided to students who cannot afford the fee based on their marks and potential. Such a policy will be more beneficial to the university and the students in the long run.

  14. Hi Rachel, It would be great if you could help me out too. The revised model just started in August, so how long did you take to prepare accordingly for the new one? August just began and you already did it. Wow. I am pretty nervous about the new one.
