That's an amazing score! I took the GRE on the 29th and got a 170 verbal, 165 quantitative (my writing results aren't back yet). I used Manhattan GRE and thought that I was going to struggle in the verbal sections, but every single question seemed ridiculously easy. I paid careful attention to the writing prompts and did 5-7 practice essays each for Issue and Argument. This paid off when the first essay was one for which I'd already seen the prompt and the second was one for which I'd already written a practice essay. As a science major, though, I'm a bit worried about the 165 Q. The concordance chart says that it's equivalent to a 790-800 in the old system, but I've seen lots of posters here with far higher scores. If I end up needing to retake it, does anyone have advice on a good mathematics-focused review book? I used the Manhattan GRE version because that was all my school bookstore had, but I would like to try a new system to see if I can further hone my skills. (Of course, I also used the official guide and took its paper-based test as well as three online tests from Manhattan GRE.)
