Hi all, I would like to ask for advice. I am planning applying next fall for US PhD in CS or EECS. How would you judge my profile? Which should be target schools? I have no idea. French preparation for examination to enter top Engineering school - maths, physics - very high honours BEng GPA 3.8 + Meng in one of top 5 engineering schools in France (first in my major) MS in signal processing (France) GRE: 770Q, 550V, 3A TOEFL: 114/120 Research (almost none) : 6 months "research oriented internship" (see below), validated three core master courses with study and presentation of papers, personal interest in reading papers, that's all. 4 projects at Eng. school (Computer Sci., telecoms) 2 internships (3months) as a developer 1 internship (6 months) in R&D in a big company (signal processing, programming) 1,5 year as software developer and R&D engineer in a big company (aerospace) Many extrac-curricular activities: sport in competition, former member/secretary/treasurer of several student organizations I have no master thesis (I did an internship instead) I have no subject GRE test I would like to go on with phd studies and post doc, then go back to industry, preferably software industry for a research role.
