Hey guys.. It's been a while since I last visited my darling site! This is however my update on the application outcomes to share with you.. Got accepted in the Master in Public Health (MPH) program in following Schools of Public Health: 1. Johns Hopkins University 2. Harvard University 3. Emory University 4. Cambridge University (UK) At this point, I am little confused where to go. The decision will definitely depend on funding issues. Got a partial scholarship in Harvard. Hopkins is however the top school in the public health school's ranking and I am yet to hear some positive funding offers from them or from other schools. Some other external scholarships that I have applied are also due for their decision to make. Let's see what happens..plz wish me luck guys, I really need this! I must say, whenever I am in this forum, it feels so much like home. I thank everyone in the forum who has made this site an awesome one and wish you all every success in your own endeavors as well.. Have fun!

dear vib.. i sincerely feel that it's only the vocab part of BB that is still representative of thereal GRE. Vocab section is indeed a good source of practice alright..too sad that the book is difficult to get everywhere.however..you can get 10 of these tests in the 10th edition of ets-gre publicationwhich is i believe, can be bought easily online. In addition, the 10 korean tests and other real tests (which u will find in this forum) should be more than enough for your practice..try to download these.hope this helps brother...

Hi guys..:) Took TOEFL in last october 30 and the range was like this.. Listening: 26 Structures/writing: 12-29 Reading: 30 Total: 227-283 I was happy with my essay..expecting atleast a 5!

Hey Guys.... thanks for your nice remarks. i am aiming for a masters program in public health or in epidemiology. got my toefl coming up this 30th... Now the ques's.. well honestly speaking i don't remember the antonyms that i encountered in the vocab....(may be i took too many practice tests in the weeks preceding the exam so all the real and practice que's now seem kind of same to me..however trust me they're not that different!). but i remember one or two analogies though like vault:valuables or penury:miser...easy stuff like these. Anyway, I will try to remember some more and post... It was pretty much a smooth sailing for the vocab part. I think if u are familiar to the barrons list, practice BB vocabs and 10 korean tests u should be just fine. I never had to spend much time for analogies, antonyms or sc's...so i had the luxury of giving some extra time to rc's. Another superb prep material was this "gre 1.0" compiled by Samuel containing analogies and antonyms that i downloaded from this forum. It is one wonderful prep material which would rate as extremely helpful. This is one thing that you would like to have.... Well friends it's over at last....:) It's overall a good result for me even though i thought i could get a little higher in quant sec. But hey, i am happy with what i have got considering i had to also work in my clinic.. I feel that i must thank few friends in this wonderful forum. specially mwm2005,gre1600, gregal, old posts of econ, dingus, peterv, VLH and others whose name i can't recall.And hats off once again to Erin for this great site. the informations and the inspiration that i got from Testmagic were invaluable to me. thanks so much MWTM amd GRE1600... you guys have been really helpful. MWTM... i am really annoyed with these different different slope probs in the coord geo. i was wondering whether it would be possible for anyone of us who has mastered it's art could just compile the common slope related quizes and their quickest ways of solution. I hear that slope probs and probabilities are very frequent now a days.. thanks again...
