I wrote to UT-Dallas last week asking them about the status of my application. They responded back saying that I was wait-listed. If grad-cafe is a reliable source, then it seems that no one had a 2nd round of interview calls (I could be wring about that though). Results are expected to come out in 2-3 weeks time. I am not holding my breath. It's time to look forward to Fall 2015.

I know that I am going to sound like a broken record but has anyone here heard anything from Haas/UC. Berkeley or Ross/U. Mich?

Reject season has begun. Received three bad emails in the last three days. Does anyone here have any news from Haas or Ross?

Got rejected from MIT-Sloan, but that was to be expected in any case. Has anyone here heard anything from Haas/UC-Berkeley?

Thanks! I really hope that I can get through UTD. I really like what they have been doing recently - their research productivty has gone through the roof in the past few years. If they continue what they've been doing, the Business School (and their Accounting Dept.) ought to be among the top 10-20 by the time PhD students from this year get onto the job market by 2018/19.

We keep clicking F5 on out email inboxes all the time hoping for an interview. Unless, the Prof. is also clicking F5 hoping for an journal publication acceptance, I don't think he/she ought to be annoyed! On another note, just got an interview invite from UTD. :)

Does anyone (in this thread) know anything about the status of Rice Univ's Accounting Dept? I know that they conducted fly-ins a few days ago, but are they done? Any online/skype interview calls?

There was something on gradcafe for Fisher earlier today. I guess, that department has moved. That said, their accounting department has not. Which is irritating the hell out of me. What is the point of having an admission deadline on the 1st of freaking December if you are just going to sit on the applications for 70 days? This is borderline unprofessional!

Would it be appropriate to write back to the school 2 weeks after an interview about the decisions?

I think I understand what you're saying here. One of my friends (currently in his 3rd) told me something similar. He said if I could get in 4-5 of high quality work done (and this is high-quality - no distractions, no reddit, no music, no emails etc.), then he simply calls it a day. According to him - the 6th hour and beyond are just ways to console yourself that you are in the office and doing something. So, once he reaches his pre-defined goals, he simply packs up and goes to the gym or watches a movie. Of course, he's in his third year and has no 'proof' to show that what he does is the right thing, but it does make some sense if you start thinking that the brain has the capacity to just so much. Beyond a certain point, it simply becomes inefficient to carry on working for 11 hours - especially where mental faculties are involved.

UTD as in Univ. Texas at Dallas? In other words, should I crap my pants right now?:dejected:
