1. Anybody didn't hear anything from UMN, NYU, CMU, Cornell?
2. What happened to UMN? Procrastinating a lot.
3. So schools that haven't told me explicitly of their decisions are NYU, Caltech, UMN, UCSD, Cornell, CMU. The first 2 will almost surely reject me, the latter 4 are uncertain. It would be great if all of them come out today.
4. Thank you for your replies. But I see people attending flyouts even if they have full funding and they 100% decided where to go. They still go to flyouts even if it costs them several thousand bucks. Are there some other reasons to go there? To make friends and to talk to professors about research?
5. What's good about attending it? It costs me several thousand dollars because I have to take an airplaine, and I have something to study right now. I can attend it, but I have to weigh the advantages and disadvantages. What are the advantages?
6. So I received a kind of lowly waitlist :) Bye UPenn
7. I received email that says 'placed high on waitlist' rather than 'placed very high on waitlist' ' So here the word "very" seems to be the keyword?
8. @ coffeehouse Did your UPenn waitlist email also say "placed high on our wait list" ? I know some schools tell every waitlisted applicant that they are high on the waitlist.
9. Waitlisted for UPenn. It says "placed high on our wait list" In full length, "Attached is the University of Pennsylvania's note advising you that you have been placed high on our wait list for admission from the Graduate Program in Economics." Did everyone get the same thing that says "placed high on our waitlist" ?
10. Comparing GC in 2013 and this year, anybody feels like econ phd programs are sending out results earlier than last year?
11. Does NYU econ have smaller class size compared to, say, NW, Wisconsin, Columbia? Each year relatively few are posted at GC.
12. Still reading "An admissions decision has not yet been rendered." for Northwestern. Anyone in the same situation?
13. I got no news, no interview, no decision from Duke. Anyone in the same situation?
14. NW is sending out. So we are visiting

https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=nwu-grad

ten times a day, right?
15. Where did you find Northwestern's decision? Northwestern's online application page is still saying "APPLICATION STATUS: SUBMITTED" in its front page.
16. I just activated this now, too. I called them if this is ok. They say yes. But still a little worried.
17. As many UWM acceptances posted at GC as 2013 or 2012. UWN's first round acceptances seem to be nearly over. I will wait for waitlists to come up. And they might have loved internationals this year?
18. Some students seems to get accepted "without funding" Does that mean they have to spend around $60,000 for 5 years for themselves? I am asking this because that's too much money if that applicant doesn't have external funding sources.
19. By the way, two people posted their UWM acceptances as "other" at GC. Hey, if they told you they will provide TAship, that's acceptance :)
20. In my experience, if some school accepts 90 people, GC is quickly flooded with posts. Perhaps they are manually doing it or just running several rounds of notifications. Also, there is one UPenn accept post in GC.
21. Institution: University of Chicago Program: Econ PhD Decision: Accepted Funding: Funding for years 3,4,5. Notification date: 2/17/14 Notified through: email Posted on GC: Not yet Comments: Great!
