Letters of Recommendation:
Not strong. Both the Professor in my department and math department
Research Experience:
One Research Project, Two Published Paper one empirical one econometrics theory, but both in Chinese version
Teaching Experience: Two Semesters' Tutor in Time Series Analysis (Undergraduate Level)
Research Interests: Econometrics Theory and method, but still very undecided in details, micro or time series? I did some work about Spatial Econometrics but I still find I may do better in time series .
Concerns:
1. My background is very different among ones who prefer econometrics since I did undergraduate in management, not too much maths required.
2. I plan to do my Ph.D. in economics in Top 30, but up till now it seems not applicable. So I wonder if I can try some Top 40-50 Universities, for instance, Indiana?
3. Can I try some top m.a program instead? MSEM in Duke and MSME in LSE are my dream school. But I wonder if I have the chance to get enrolled.
4. My career goal is to get a tenured track assistant professor in economics.
Any advice is welcomed,
Thanks!
