I will be applying to top PhD programs in Strategy and I have a concern regarding who to ask for recommendation.
I have about 4 professors, where 2 of them I am confident that I will get strong letters.
The 3rd professor C, who has the biggest name out of four, is my concern. She is a head of a department at top B school and a senior full professor. I didn't get an A in her class. But she seemed to be supporting my application, acknowledging some of my strengths (technical skills, attitude, intellectual curiosity).
The 4th professor D, who has less name out there, but I am more confident in getting a better letter compared to professor C.
What should I do with these choices? Should I use a letter from C for certain schools and D for some? Has anyone faced this situation before?
