M fiancee and I want to go to the same school for Master's in Economics. We got accepted to Texas A&M, University of Colorado-Denver, University of Missouiri-Columbia, Syracuse University and Clemson. Which one do you think is the best? Tamu seems good when we check rankings etc, but Master program is focused on Finance, and the class is so crowded. They have 160 students. Missouri and Syracuse has only 20 about people. My specific interest area is Economic Policy and my fiancee's is Public Economics. Does Tamu has a good prestige because of its Phd program, or its Master is good as well? Missouri's professors seems really good, from schools like MIT, but I couldn't find much information about the reputation of the program. Weather is a big drawback for Syracuse University, but they say it is a strong school. I will continue my education after Master as a Phd student, and I want to be well prepared for Phd. I want to stay in academia rather than working in private sector. I am afraid that I will not be able to find a scholarship or assistantship because of graduating a weak school. Which one of these schools is best do you think for my purposes?
