  1. Hi guys, it'd be really cool if someone could tell me where I'm at (top 10 / 20 / 30?). I'll apply to the econ PhD next fall to (hopefully) start in september 2018 and I'm from a top 10 canadian university. The reason why I don't have much math classes is that I chose to study economics really late (last year of my undergrad degree in business). I was planning on taking over my father's company, but it went bankrupt so I had to find something else at the last minute. Nevertheless, I'm happy that I discovered that passion that I now have for economics! Also, for the verbal and analytic section of the GRE I think you should know that my first language is not english. Thanks! PROFILE: Type of Undergrad: BBA Undergrad GPA: 4.14/4.3 Type of Grad: M.Sc in applied economics Grad GPA: 4.3/4.3 GRE: (Q / V / A) - (170 / 154 / 4) Math Courses: probabilities (A+), statistics (A), modeling and optimization (A), decision models (A+), financial mathematics (A+) and the equivalent of calculus 1 (A+) because we do it before the undergraduate degree in the province I live in. I'm planning to take real analysis 1 (summer 2017), calculus 2 (fall 2017), linear algebra (winter 2018) and calculus 3 (winter 2018). Econ Courses: macroeconomics 1-3 (all A+), microeconomics 1-3 (all A+), introduction to econometrics (A+), time series econometrics (A+), PhD level econometrics (expecting A+), international economics 1-2 (A+), development economics (A), industrial organization (A+) and public finance (A+). Other Courses: Lots of commerce classes. Letters of Recommendation: 2 top 5% (IDEAS) professors (one from my university and one from a top 15 US university) and 1 top 10% (IDEAS) proffesor (from my school). I was a RA for all three of them. Research Experience: RA for the three professors I mentioned above. Teaching Experience: TA in macroeconomics 2, introduction to econometrics and PhD level econometrics.
