Students that go through essays are they GA or randomly picked?

I agree with your statement 100%. My essay is done and was submitted last week. I was more concerned about general structure because I would assume that applicants stay away from cliched type essays as much as they can - I did.

Is it just to prescreen the essay or for some other purpose too?

Is it everywhere that MBA students read applications first?

I just applied to OSU part-time. I like the athmosphere,program and campus. GO BUCKS!

Also what you could do is: 1.get into MBA program and get F1 2. apply for CPT(curriculum practice training which allows you to work "20 hours/week", but if you talk to your employer they might let you work more) 3.enjoy your MBA 4.by the end apply for OPT 5. while you are on OPT get a job with someone that will sponsor you for H-1 6. Most importantly you don't pay taxes while you are on F1 and this is sweet, gotta love immigration :D

Hello, I'm working on personal statement to go with my application for MBA program and I'm hard time deciding on the structure of that statement. Here is the description of what they want to see in that statement: Please provide a two-page, single spaced, typewritten or computer-generated statement that describes: 1. your leadership, ability to work with others and your skill at resolving conflict 2. your short-term and long-term goals 3. your reasons for seeking an MBA degree in general 4. why you believe a MBA will help you achieve these goals I have the statement almost done right now but I'm not confident as to the general structure of it. Which structure is better? Answer to the first point my part on leadership, ability to work with others and skills on resolving conflicts. short term goals my part on short term goals long term goals my part on long term goals reasons my reasons why MBA? answer to this question OR One essay without outlining anything Please help....

I don't know what you mean when you asked:Have you try working as an IT consultant close by stanford?:hmm: Sure there are other places where I could continue to practice swimming and get my MBA at the same but most of them are even higher in ranking than OSU - consequently it makes it harder to get in. Plus there are many things I like about OSU and now you are making me rethink about my options and decisions I've already made...hmmm..:) So from what I'm understanding is that you sugest that I should retake gmat whenever I`m ready and then apply?
