  1. E. Long way: Senior visits approx.= 360/30*2= 24 Junior visits approx.= 360/20*3 = 54 24/54=x/100 x=67% Short way: 20 days / 30 days = x/100 x=67%
  2. aki: It is 3*(2!*2!*3!)/5! = 3/5 and not 3!*2!*2!*3!/5! = 6/5 arjmen: I don't understand how you got these: "Arrangements where both couples are together = 3!*2!*2! Arrangements where only one couple is together = 2*(2!*2!*3!)" Can you explain me please?
  3. E. Length of the square plot = sqrt(2401) = 49ft So per row/column 8 trees can be planted. Total number of trees will be 8*8 = 64. Cost of one tree = $35 Cost of 64 trees = 2240 So total profit = $2240 - $896 = $1344 $1344 / $896 = x/100 x=150%
  4. Today I received the final score report from ETS. I was worried about the essay score because I didn't finish my essay. I didn't have time to complete the last paragraph/sentence and I din't have time to check for errors. Enough reasons to be worried. My structure score was 13-30 which I did't understand. As long as the righting counts for 1/2 of this section's score, it should be 13-28 or 15-30. 13-30 doesn't make any sense to me. I am happy with my score. I needed at least 250 but I can leave with 273 :p Good luck to everybody. See you on GMAT section L
  5. I pick D for the same reason as SOJO.
  6. C from me too. Same reason
  7. I pick E. (B) the glacial evidence doesn't confirm(corroborate) the radiocarbon dating.
  8. I pick E. If "not all good cooks are big eaters", it is certain that there are some cooks among all of them who are not big eaters. A, B, C, D are possible even they may not be true.
  9. I am for D too. All the other ones undermine the conclusion.
  10. I vote for (E). Both possibilities have equal chances to be true. (A) & (D) are extreme answers. (B) & © say that there are more than 50% chances for each. We don't have any clue about that.
  11. (A) It repeats the statement: I do X because of Y, and I do Y because of X
  12. Question2: D) is out of scope because it is about the reserves already extracted (not in the ground) E) Doesn't solve the paradox because the consumption can be smaller than the estimates but still higher than the production. I pick E because there is only one which solve in part the paradox.
  13. It's E The flaw is "are justifiable on the same grounds"
  14. (D) The rate at which people in Millington had to pay mortgage interest was only 10 percent. It is the only one which would result in a lower monthly payment. So some of the families with a lower income will afford the median-priced house
  15. I go for D. E is false because we know that there are at least 200 companies reporting income from 10 or more countries and only 38 showing a net income of more than $100 million (THE 38 corporations ...). So 38 can't be the most of 200.
  16. My pick is B B. There is no link between the new invention and this city. D. The industries were exempted from air pollution control measures. So this fact influenced the results of the levels of polution. Doesn't matter if they polluted or not. The results of the level were influenced. OA please.... Malegria, This is your fourth post I found without the OA. You should appreciate our answers/time and post it ! Otherwise I won't answer to any of your posts.
  17. I go for E. It points another cause for the low number of articles.
  18. 25! = 15511210043330985984000000 The total number of zeroes is 9. Because this is not among the choices, I think that the question is about the final zeroes, so the answer is C (6). Why? See hellopatience's answer.
  19. I go for C E: There is no link between the publishing company and the price of paper pulp. A,B, D: Don't help the plan.
  20. I go with A: The argument assumed that the distribution of the wealth was fare in the past which is weaked by A C: The growing of the population doesn't mean the growing of the economic pie. What' the OA ?
  21. I go for A too. (A) makes the connection between the stress level and the hapiness of the family. © is a restatement of the first part of the argument
  22. I think it is A A. The tax relief mentioned at A favour the savings. C. The tax relief mentioned at C favour the loans
