  1. Hi all. This is a note to you all you regular folk who don't have outstanding GMAT scores and not much work experience and don't have knock your socks off qualifications. I know my accomplishment might seem dwarfed by every other Ivy League accomplishment you see around here, but that's ok. I am not over the top smart and I certainly have no business attending Harvard or Yale. I'll leave that to the true die-hards. I want to let all you regular folks know that your dreams can be realized. There are good schools out there for the 'other guy'. Just because you don't attend Brown or something doesn't mean you can't get your MBA and pursue your dream. Sure, it might not be as prestigious, but you shouldn't be put off by it. By no means am I telling you to aim lower or anything, of course do the best you can do and dream big. I'm just giving you the story of 'everyday joe' and how normal regular people can get their MBA too.
  2. 3 weeks? Dear Lord. Download PowerPrep NOW!
  3. I have a 3.4 and Honor Society, but I don't think that would be good enough for Baruch. Ah, we'll never know.
  4. CUNY Baruch is in Manhattan on the lower East side. It's an excellent school. St. Johns is in Queens, NY. I don't know much about their graduate programs.
  5. I looked at Buffalo, but it is too far for me. I am unable to apply to Baruch, my GMAT score is not good enough (you need at least 600), and Fordham...well, no thanks. I don't like the Bronx. But good luck.
  6. 520, as I posted in the regular scoring forum. I'm excited.
  7. I never did well on my practice tests. Always a 430 or 450. I thought I was gonna bomb out on the actual test because my math scores usually suck. The test was going ok. I thought I was failing because the math stuff just seemed to get easier and easier. I said, uh oh, I know what this means. The verbal I thought I was doing better in. I had an easier time of it with all that stuff. I clicked to get my score and I said "520?". That's awesome. I'm not going to Harvard or any of that, so I should be fine getting into my schools of choice.
  8. I take my test on Saturday and I don't have a prayer at 500. I'm still gonna try though. Hell, I might still get into school!
  9. I take the test on Saturday. I've studied so hard but I am simply unable to retain math information. The easy to moderate stuff is ok with me, but I don't know what I'm going to do with the difficult stuff. I'll be thrilled to get a 500 to be honest. Anyway, I'll keep up the hope and I will let you all know if you care. :)
  10. I live in the NYC area, and I am applying to the following schools for an MBA: SUNY Binghamton SUNY Oswego C.W. Post - LIU I'm not the smartest guy around who can just get a 760 on a GMAT, so I'm not looking to top schools. I have a 3.4 GPA as an undergrad and I belong to an honor society and I have made the Dean's List several times. I have been out for 2 years now and I am hoping to get in to grad school for the fall semester. I am not a good test taker, so I hope I can do well on the test. The math is the hardest portion for me.
