Hi !! I have GMAT score of 720 (M 50 V 38). I will hv 4+ yrs of work ex. by sept 2006. Myself B.Tech from REC TRICHY(NIT Trichy)(Top Engg. Instt. in India). Presently I'm working as Business development Manager. GPA is 7/10. Pls tell me which Uni. esp. in US shud I target. pls give the range of Uni. rank (1-10) which Uni. 11-20 Uni ?? 21-30 Uni ? Pls reply. Also tell me how to proceed from here....any good site or forum which can help me in Uni. selection n Applicatn process. Thanx in advance. Satya

Hi Frnds !! I wrote my GMAT on Thursday and scored 720 to join the 700 club of Scoretop. I am satisfied with this score as its within my range of expectation (700 -750). It was long overdue....I'd to prove myself n I proved....http://www.scoretop.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif First I need to thank STONE, SOFTROCK, SPIDERMAN, archangel88 n other active respondents. The material U need OG Testmagic, Scoretop.... 1000 Qns Princeton Rev. verbal workout Kap 800 Just make sure U do OG....esp. best for SC...I'd done SC for at least 4 times. Many people here claim that they did SC or RC or any other topic just once or part of it.... But what I feel that u shud be aware of ur weakness n accordingly...leave no stone unturned....If u haven't reached the level...Just keep practising.....Everybody has diff. comfort zone...For me MATHS has always been a cakewalk....As I'd been School topper n Distt. topper in MATHS....I'd even got selected in XLRI (Top Indian MBA school) only coz of Maths. But Verbal was always a chink in my armour.....Then I mugged word list(though not required for GMAT) but I have always strived for perfection. I really worked hard to be in comfort zone in English....But still speed was my major problem. I really worked hard to reach such accuracy level.... LSAT RCs, CR n 1000 SCs I reached 80% + accuracy. In fact for SC it was 95 % + after doing OG 3 times. The point is that U must believe that U can reach ur coveted level....A MAN MUST DO WHAT HE MUST. Earlier I had written in June....that time also.....I cud have scored 700+ but my main WEAKNESS was exposed in the real test.....that is .....slow speed in verbalhttp://www.scoretop.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif Last time I cud not even see the last 10 qns in verbal. After that I only practiced for speed.... This time I even dint see Maths (never touched maths part even for 5 min.....not even 4 formulas) and SC...As I was overdone with these parts. Only coz of slow speed esp. in RC n little bit of CR....I had to write GMAT again to cross the 700 barrier. I think its better to tell U guys what U should NOT do.... 1. Don't collect TOO much material 2. Don't waste ur money on irrelevant material/coaching. 3. Don't waste more than 3-4 min. in any qn....don't overread. 4. Don't worry abt ur CD scores.....Last time before my 1st gmat I had got 690, 710,730, 680 in Princeton Rev. 570,620,600,600 in Kaplan....730, 740 in Powerprep........770 (repeat) just 2 days before my 2nd GMAT... As u can see even 1st time I was not bad for GMAT. ONE THING EVERYONE MUST DO......DO realise ur potential n try to remove ur weakness ....Be very specific abt ur weakness...I mean... U shud be knowing like ...My assumption qns in CR is a weak point.... My speed while answering RC takes more than 1.5 min/Qn.....My DS or more precisely Geometry qns in DS is not upto the level. Pls share ur verbal in detail. What were RC topics, SC diff. level...CR (compared with OG) ...1st few qns whether these were SC or RC etc. How long were SCs n CRs?? Pls Do reply. Thanx Satya

For me quant is not a prob. . ...but verbal is still a hitch....though I've done OG twice.... Actually I'm writing gmat on 16th june.....but not very confident abt actual test & its difficulty level. Pls share ur verbal in detail. What were RC topics, SC diff. level...CR (compared with OG) ...1st few qns whether these were SC or RC etc. How long were SCs n CRs?? Hi magicwand, Thanx for the prompt reply. U r right...I shud concentrate on verbal..... Even for me...time managemnt is a problem. My test scores in Kaplan- 550,620,600,590 (M-50 for all test) PR-680,690,680,720 Can u tell me how it is?? In most of the tests I cud not complete last 5-6 qns in verbal. What do u think abt real test.Is it more time taking than Kaplan esp. in verbal ?? Pls reply. Thanx.
